What a story getting Don Pepas to the US! His ears looked usually large when he was a kitten for sure. It is obvious you were meant to be together. No more beans and rice diet. I hear that's what they feed prison inmates down there. Not healthy for a cat as they are strictly carnivores. May God bless you for saving him!

OMG! Our Tama was most likely born August 4th, too! The vet said he was two weeks old two weeks after the 2008 Chino Earthquake. My husband found him at work in the parking lot at 2 am, half bare from fleas. Happy soon Birthday, Don Pepas from your older brother, and many many more years to come!

Lovely story of a lucky couple who found each other! His huge eyes are gorgeous! I wish everyone would rescue a cat instead of buying purebreds! It makes me so sad to see what they are doing to such regal creatures, breeding deformities and mutations for profit. It is NOT cute when graceful, elegant felines are intentionally hobbled by stumpy legs and given cutesy names like "munchkin" for profit! Lillian, I wonder if you could help me. I also love watching on You Tube a lovely couple in Siberia who have a gorgeous panther named Luna. www.youtube.com/@Lunathepantera Her mom often affectionately refers to her by what the captions alternately show as "Busia" or "Busya", but google translate is no help! Any ideas, just curious?

I agree. There are plenty of cats to be rescued rather than bought as expensive purebreds. I am so happy I have found my Don Pepas! Now to your question about Luna. Viktoriya calls her "Bulka, Bulochka" which means bun, you are my bun! From Bulka/Bulochka (little bun) comes Busya. It's a strange word formation and is unique to any person. Sometimes Viktoriya calls her Businda. That is still from the original Busya. Hope this helps! I call Don Pepas Pepusya or Pepochka. 🥰 😘
