Hello everyone!
Since my Don Quijote videos are popular, I've decided to do a shopping tour at the Shinjuku Don Quijote.
Don Quijote offers a shopping experience like 'treasure hunting in a jungle-like, diverse store'. I had fun shopping again this time.
You can compare the differences between each store, so watch each video for reference
Let me know in the comments what you like about Don Quijote or what you want to see 😜

Wow, sharp eyes! It seems something quite unexpected slipped into the video. It was completely unintentional, and I appreciate your understanding. Let's all keep things lighthearted, and I'll be more careful in the future. Thanks for your support and for keeping the conversation respectful. 😊

It seems like prices have risen for everything in general! Those food keychains are really expensive! I also remember different Don Quijote locations will have different prices, I remember visiting one in Osaka suburbs and it was much cheaper than locations in Tokyo. This was also very true for grocery stores, prices can vary a lot for the same foods depending on where you shop!

Thank you for your comment! 😊 You're spot on! Prices tend to be lower in regional areas, and even within the same metropolitan area, the cost can vary significantly depending on where you shop. These differences really add up, don't they? 😱 Japan hasn't seen a significant rise in prices yet, but I'm curious, how is it in Canada or the USA? Since income levels in Japan aren't increasing, the barrier to traveling abroad to places like Europe, America, or other parts of Asia has become quite high. Whenever I find good and affordable shops, I'll be sure to share them in my videos. Thank you always for your support! 💗

@@EverydayShopping_inJapan It's really bad here in Canada. Prices for everything has increased dramatically. All grocery food prices has increased by at least 2x, usually more. For example 12 eggs used to cost around $3 in 2021, now it is $7. A package of 450g bacon used to cost around $3, now they are $7+. As a result, restaurant and fast food prices have also increased 2x or more generally when compared to pre-covid prices. For example, it costs $30 to order one whole chicken at an average Chinese restaurant now. I notice some restaurants are increasing their menu prices 4 times in one year.

@@lordbacon4972 The prices have really skyrocketed, haven't they? It would be manageable if incomes increased similarly, but even then, the rapid inflation can dampen the willingness to purchase. The fact that basic essentials like eggs have more than doubled in price is really concerning 😲 It sounds like a similar situation is happening in Japan, with rising prices and decreasing product sizes, pushing us all towards more careful budgeting and spending. Thanks for bringing this to light - it's a reminder of the global challenges we're all facing. Thank you so much for sharing this information 😊.

Hi there! Thanks for your comment, I'm glad you liked the spot! It's actually the Busta Shinjuku, a bus terminal located right outside the South Exit of Shinjuku Station. It's a really cute area! 💞

Can you tell please where can buy a high-quality large suitcase for a tourist? Maybe there are inexpensive Japanese manufacturers?

Don Quijote also sells relatively cheap large suitcases, bought one for $40.

In Japan, if you're looking for a high-quality large suitcase, the ACE's PROTECA brand is highly recommended for its overwhelming quality. However, a large suitcase of around 100 liters from PROTECA may cost around $500. All PROTECA products are made in Japan, ensuring attention to detail and solid construction. For more budget-friendly options, suitcases from a Japanese manufacturer named Griffin Land are available. You can get a suitcase of around 100 liters for about $70, but these are mainly available online as the manufacturer doesn't have physical stores. If the brand isn't a major concern, as @alohagoodies suggested, large stores like Don Quijote, Aeon, Big Camera, and Yodobashi Camera offer a variety of suitcases. You can also find branded suitcases in department stores. Additionally, some airports have stores selling branded suitcases too. Hopefully, you find something good.🧳👍

taking a look at the comments and it seems different don quijote have different prices? T.T" did not know that! Would you say the major ones in tokyo (shinjuku, shibuya, asakusa etc) for example are roughly the same? or have you noticed one that is a bit more cheaper than others? also in general, would you say don quijote or drug stores are cheaper? thank you!

I'm glad to see you've been watching many videos! You have a keen observation indeed! 💗As you mentioned, in Tokyo's major cities, prices aren't uniform and can slightly vary due to the slightly higher cost of living. Even within the same chain stores in major cities, prices for the same item can differ depending on the store, sales, or the time of the year. While there might be some slight variations in prices within the same chain, they usually aren't significantly different, so shopping at larger stores with more branches might be a good idea.👍 Regarding Don Quijote and drug stores, it's hard to say which is cheaper due to the same reasons mentioned above and also depending on the product. There are many drug store chains, each with slight price differences. Personally, if I had to choose between Don Quijote and a drug store, I would likely go for the drug store. I hope you can find what you're looking for at a great price!😊✨

What is a Band Aid power pad? I’m curious!

Thanks for your comment! The Band-Aid Power Pad is really great 👍 It's designed to minimize scarring and significantly reduces pain when the wounded area comes in contact with external surfaces. It's a Johnson & Johnson product, so it's probably sold worldwide. You should definitely give it a try 😜
