Thank you so much for posting these videos. A lot of people grew up with these clips and it's great to see a newer generation enjoying them as well.

So true about these roasts. They only roasted the people who were in their “club.” It was like an honor.

That’s why Anthony Jeselnik did the ultimate roast when he got to Lisa Lampinelli and just said “you’re cool”. 🥶

We saw his show at The Orleans in Vegas just a couple of years before he died. Even though he was very old, he still had it, I laughed so hard, my face hurt.

If you want a true example of class from the program, look into Frank Sinatra's response after everyone roasted him. It's considered common courtesy for the "Man of the Hour" (the person that got roasted) to have their revenge as they get the last word of the evening. Sinatra proved his to be nothing but pure class and a world-class gentleman in his response.

Years ago, I saved the transcript of Frank Sinatra's response.

Dean Martin being found in a garage was a reference to Frank Sinatra's mob connections. 😮😂

Redd Foxx was one of the funniest comedians of his era. If you get a chance, check out his standup routines and the television show he starred in (with Lawanda Page) called "Sanford and Son". He was funny as shit in both endeavors. Redd Foxx influenced Richard Pryor, who influenced Eddie Murphy. All three were brilliant comedians. OH, since you're branching out into movies a bit... check out the movie "The Toy", starring Richard Prior and Jackie Gleeson. It is a VERY under-rated comedy. If you don't laugh your ass off to that movie, I'd be shocked!

The "found in a garage" comment was referencing Frank Sinatra's alleged {snicker, snicker} mob connections and the famous mobster St Valentine's Day Massacre which took place in a Chicago garage...
