I finally realized the story happening during editing Mr. Pompy was trying to save Sarah from joining him & his friends in the game. Unfortunately, it didn't matter in the end since whatever entity is behind this gets to her. Pompy's mention of "conditions met," and Sarah's reflection suggests she's been trapped in the game in the end. Spooky story, I like it!
