For someone who is not the boss... . But must comment on the consistent quality and attention to detail you always demand. That kind of professionalism is perhaps the best lesson to pass on to the emerging foremen.

Tom that takes a lot of courage to let someone else be the boss of the job that means you have a lot of confidence in your employees that work for you not many other businesses do it 😮😊❤

You really have to show them all the "other expenses" that go into a quote, insurance, paying for all the equipment, up keep & maintenance plus repairs of the equipment, workman's comp., phones, advertising, taxes on the equipment, accountant fees etc etc...If you're going to train them you really need to show them the whole picture...This is why so many young guys fail at starting their own company, they only think about hourly wages and materials, there's SO much more than that as you know!

Good morning employee Tom, Project turned out nice as usual, what else would we expect from your "former" employees 😊😊. You were still in charge if nothing else out of respect and the fact it's YOUR signature on the paychecks 😊. Never doubt the power of the pen.😅😅😅. How much temperature change was in that tunnel ? I was around the caves in Marengo, IN on a log buying trip and afterwards I noticed a guard shack. I drove up and spoke to the guard. He told me a major tire company was storing tires inside--TIRES!!! I asked if it was possible to drive in and to my surprise he said sure. I drove in until I could see they were actually building block walls to divide the space into rooms and I mean BIG ROOMS. Had to be 50 to 75 ft high and huge. Went back in a little further and turned my headlights off like on your video. I never knew dark could be so dark. I literally could NOT see my hand 6 inches in front of my face. It was that DARK. When I came out the guard only asked to see in my cab and back of truck to verify I hadn't taken any tires---they actually had folks try to get a couple at times. How would they ever miss them? He told me they stored well over a 1,000,000 tires at any time and had racing tires worth over $1500 a piece. I wanted 4😊😊😊.

That’s one aspect of every company that sometimes gets forgotten. Growing up the crews for the future. It’s good to see you are thinking ahead. 😊 And, I would like to see some of the problems you run into and how you resolve them. 🤔 Would make for some good content. 😁

With some volunteers that hadn't done concrete we just poured a 23 foot by 14 foot slab. About the simplest possible job. One side against a building and one against an existing slab. 4 inches thick. All we had to dig out was about a two inch layer of mostly crumbled asphalt and a couple of inches of dirt. It definitely took about 5 or 6 times the person hours a professional crew would have taken to do the prep. It came out OK for inexperienced volunteers and will be a fully functional added ADA parking space for a nonprofit that has to watch every penny. And, most importantly nobody was injured and we lucked out and got a very nice concrete truck driver who barely let on that he could tell most of us didn't know what we were doing.

I was going to guess the bike trails by Franklin Pa but that was a bit vague. We road up there before but not on that section. Now that would be a great place for an E bike because there is just too much trail to be able to cover what you would like in a day on a normal bicycle.

The Great Allegheny Passage? a 150-mile (240 km) rail trail between Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Cumberland, Maryland. Together with the C&O Canal towpath, the GAP is part of a 335 mi (539 km) route between Pittsburgh and Washington, D.C., that is popular with through hikers and cyclists. I'm only guessing... I live in England lol

i have been trying to figure out why you have not split your boys up and form 2 crews and you just go around bidding jobs for them to keep you semi in the game. Boys may not see it your way initially, but once they have a disgruntled client and it has to come out of there pocket they will see why you harp on certain aspects . from what i hear Tommy boy your reputation is damn good in your area.
