alot of sneaker shops gets shoes early, to have them ready for release day. Alot of them also backdoor (sell them for a little higher pre-release to people, who then sell them for upped prices because theyre “unreleased”) so i mean he isnt really saying anything wrong here

I always walk into these shoe stores to see if they have anything in a size 18. Most stores don’t carry anything in that size but I’ve had a few stores give me free shoes in that size saying they were never going to sell.

@@AlvinKazu I mean I wouldn't mind finding some shoes in my size that are hot now. My typical shoes I find in my size are New Balance or New Balance, but I've had some luck finding Jordan 3's before. I wouldn't have mind to find a pair of Yeezy's when they were hot but the largest size i could find were 16 or 17, or maybe even the MSCHR Red Boots for shits and giggles.

@@aydenrobinson5280pretty much only New Balance Carries 14-18 , but you can find Nikes & Jordan’s also . Best bet honestly is go buy New Balances online or go to Ross 🤷🏻‍♂️ they always have a big ass wall for size 14-18 cuz they hardly ever sell

Sneakers are the only successful MLM for dudes. You remember those Avon ladies? Or the ones that would sell essential oils? That's what this is, but for guys. These guys all have the exact same startup. Someone convinced them they should buy overpriced shoes, they bought them. Bought into the hype and bought more. Then had to recoup costs from buying too many pairs of shoes. So they start selling shoes. It's literally an MLM. Sneaker stores and diamond stores are both going down the drain, you can tell because every single one of them started a KZbin channel trying to get people into it again.

Nobody cares and that's fine. If you want nice shoes, buy nice shoes. Let's peek behind the curtain for a moment, expensive sneakers exist for one reason. To siphon the money out of poor people who want to look like they have money. The shoe cost $1 to make and you pay a 1200% markup for literally no reason. Rich people don't want to be wearing the same clothes as you. So they took something poor people already like (sneakers) and convinced only poor people that they are fancy, those poor people get money, buy themselves the thing they were convinced is nice. That is maybe a hair nicer than the basic version. Then those same rich people get that money, you remain poor, and they get to still talk down to you because all you have is a pair of sneakers. You think anyone with money is going to trade you their boat for a pair of sneakers? If you think a $1200 pair of sneakers make you higher class, you've fallen for the oldest and easiest trick in the book. This is why those people take advantage of everyone, you guys make it way too easy.

@@Zayisgreen a lot to unpack here, first off let me start by saying that I am a sneaker reseller who runs a 6 figure business and has quit my job at an S&P500 company because sneakers were making me (a lot) more money… I don’t wear any “hype” sneakers and only have ever owned about 3-4 pairs. I’m not gonna say that I disagree with anything your saying here, besides the idea that me or anybody else selling sneakers at an inflated price is “taking advantage of people” nor is anybody paying these inflated prices a victim of an MLM scheme. I don’t even think you know what Multi Level Marketing means lmfao I started reselling sneakers in 2022 (after a lot of the hype was already dead) and I’m doing better than people who’ve been in the game for years longer than me.. This is business. It’s simply based on supply and demand, sneakers that you see selling for ridiculous mark ups are significantly limited, and there are simply more people out there who want to buy them and are willing to pay an inflated price then there are pairs available of whatever the shoe may be. This is actually part of Nike (and other brands) marketing. Nike loves (and hates) resellers because when we sell their products at these insanely high mark ups it’s adding perceived value to THEIR PRODUCT ! (while also taking money off the table for them, hence the significant rate of inflation in footwear retail prices) This is just one of many reasons that reselling will never stop being a profitable business model. The idea that people are just buying more sneakers to “recoup their losses” is hilarious to me because I buy tons of sneakers every day as a means of scaling my business and consistently make a profit on them, as a matter of fact I’ve only lost money on around 5-10 transactions in the span of 3,000 + transactions that left me with a net profit. People buying sneakers aren’t suckers if that’s what they choose to collect, some people view them as collectibles and there’s nothing wrong with that. People can spend their money how they want, and it isn’t “the rich” who’s keeping them poor, it is their own decisions to buy those shoes which THEY perceive as giving them a higher status. I don’t tell anybody what to think about a pair of shoes, they have their own opinion and the option to buy a $20 no-name brand of shoes is always there, so somebody choosing not to buy something within their budget and instead wasting a large sum of $ on sneakers is not the fault of anybody but themselves.

Arguing with a crackhead is a waste of time. Like the entire thing is nothing. You just explained how the scam takes place. That doesn't make it valid. There is no collective. There is no value more than you can wear it on your foot, something that is mass manufactured cannot be rare, except artificially. They decide when to print more. Again you are just scamming poor and dumb people. You convince them something that has no value outside of a bubble, is valuable. And that something can be a collectible when they can just make more. Something cannot be rare if it cannot be remade at any time. It's all artificial there is nothing to it. I just described how you were taking advantage of people and then you gave an essay on exactly how that happens. That doesn't make it right. What have you done for the world? What have you done for anyone? Sell shoes to suckers? You are a snake oil salesman who's convinced themselves they sell art.
