I've been practicing alone for 10 years now, reading a lot, and meditading a lot. And I have found out that this "directness" is actually the only way to experience things as they are, and accept them and advance on the path. It's mindblowing how it's always available to us, to be here now, doing what we are doing now, it takes practice and patience. I have realized that one does not think one`s way to enlightment. It's not something to be learned from facts, but to be learned from experience itself. The concepts themselves are very direct. They just need a good teacher to explain them simply and guide on how to experience them. Thanks for another great video!

Many paradoxes dissolve when the question is asked differently. Having good questions is more important than having good answers. I think, at least. Thanks for the teachings

Thanks for always kicking our butts. We need honesty to illuminate our faulty thinking, even if it hurts. Lately, my faulty thinking is revealing deeper undertones. Like how I catch my mind thinking it 'knows something' and I'm like 'dude, you don't know anything, just stop'. The best professors I ever had were the ones who kicked our asses and didn't hand anything to us on a platter. We were expected to know the fundamentals inside and out. This is the quality of a professor who genuinely wants us to succeed on our path. Also, thank you for describing the zombies in the glitch mode. That made me lolz hard 🙏💚

I’m delighted to have discovered this channel. I have been part of a spiritual community for the past 30 years or so and I can instantly recognise what has been said in the video. In fact I have directly experienced what is being described. Nowadays, I am still part of the community but more of a loner and not inclined to the same level of groupthink/brainwashing one finds in a ‘spiritual’ community. I’m more inclined to rattling the cage rather than drinking the Kool Aide. That said, it can be beneficial to participate in Satsanga in the pursuit of Moksha/enlightenment. I'm grateful to have learned how to read my audience, so to speak, but with that being said, it's important to give and receive challenges to our thinking. I admit I'm a firebrand, but how can we realize the truth of existence without diligent and ruthless self honesty. Hah, I noticed this myself recently! People realize that they can strip away the "world of forms", see everything as one continuous lump of stuff, and decide that they must know how things "really are". They still categorize absolutely everything, it's why they aren't unthinking vegetables, but they go as far as claiming that even their own conscious experience doesn't exist, actually, because everything's one so it's all nothing or whatever. They just sit there negating absolutely everything that you try to say to them. It reminds me of a joke character in a video game (TES 4: Oblivion) who just stepped out of a realm of madness. If you try talking to her, all she says is "No, go away, you can't see me, I'm not here" and sprints away. Unfortunately that's exactly what some people are doing. Mistaking the map for the territory, I suspect. These words are attempting to describe experiences that words can't convey, in the same way that words can't convey what being happy or being sad is, really.

I thought of a vision that benefits you. If you take the simple concept of duality then add the third concept you get the self which perceives the dualistic nature, which leads to creation, I call the fourth concept. People like to confuse their self in the world as nothingness due to depression. Nothingness leads to oneness, then dualism, three which is 4 if you create. Numbers could go on forever in these systems. 4 seems to be useful for a simple consistent method.

It’s wonderful to realize the absolute, but if it comes at the cost of no longer being able to function in the relative then perhaps there is more to understand.
@ultimatemeaning7 ай бұрын
The realisation of the absolute (dharmakaya) "རང་དོན་" automatically includes "གཞན་དོན" the benefit of others (rupakaya), but it is only those that still have some level of dualism that appear to work for the benefit of others in the conventional sense. Is '6 realms of Samsara' a form of psyop to get masses to begin their path towards learning and realization? "There's this terrible fate that you need to escape and you can do it by thinking and meditating hard about phenomenology and consistencies you are able to derive from it". Or do practitioners believe in that sort of thing, including various mystical beings and spirits? Is there a reliable way of verifying if mysticism isn't self-induced form of psychosis, but instead you are actually 'touching' something that exists? Non-duality and non-cartesian perspective, materially, makes perfect sense. However, everything else sounds either like an allegory because language at the time wasn't equipped to express those sort of ideas; Or like a psyop to incentivize masses towards aforementioned practices

It's clear to see his errors. Making accusations from a point of ignorance. Practicing which means to practice / attempting/ trying. Judgements from a position of separation. A false sense of Self. Following a programme th at gets disturbed and irritated by the perception of other. Doubts of his own belief systems and cognitive dissonance. The list goes on. There is absolutely no danger in being enlightened and free if ego. It cannot be achieved or worked at. There is not Self and other. 🙏💛 kzbin.info/www/bejne/eofQiJ-IorShidEsi=YjtDFAhb5hXYSZ8i

The Buddha may have said that there is no self, but what use is that to you if you don't fully understand what he meant by that? Like all other high initiates, the Buddha only made as much of the universal esoteric teaching, which is one worldwide, exoterically public as was possible at that particular time. And it is common knowledge in the esoteric teachings that there is the false self, which is not a self at all. And then there is the True Self, which, however, is also only an individuation of the one true self in the cosmos. A solar system is nothing more than a human being who has expanded his consciousness to such an extent that he is able to embody an entire solar system and not just a human body system.

"Wait" is the same "way I cross" as no evil is wait as the way to cross does not turn to the left or the right in scripture is the same as taking the middle path as a Buddha turns to neither side and takes the middle path..but 'I" am that.. has no sides of thought as the same truth that sits and waits is the lord Jesus Christ at the last death on his way will try to exhort and convince the gainsayers to believe and make it home the first time as many good are deceived by evil to return again to serve them next time. Sitting here waiting with someones words to say that you kept forward to this day.. is still the same "way I cross" using scripture as the word that was god and still is will help faith find love before it is two late.

I really don't feel that you are hard on me. And, I do believe that you are sincere. I have no criticism. My personal... Well, what I have been up to with my life when I am not lost in the mundane world is trying to figure out how to live these truths, and how to share what realizations I have had. And, it does feel pointless at times, as I don't think I am saying anything that hasn't been said before many many times through history. The only thing that helps, is to think that I am perhaps saying it in a way that could be more accessible to other people that are living in the modern world, or the western world perhaps is more correct to say. Only because these are the places I have lived and am living my life as well. Of course, in practice I generally feel completely misunderstood. But, it is perhaps the problem that the big answers don't mean anything to people. They are not very comforting to most, as they feel to me. Really, thank you for all the videos. I have admittedly been doing some fairly deep suffering today, but, it has been a year filled with misfortune, on the level of surface things. And, I of course am not blameless for the outcomes, though I also do not know that there was anything different that I could have done exactly, at the same time. And, today, feeling the suffering while listening to you speak feels... Clearing rather than like it is building up to ever more intolerable levels, so, it seems good to me. And, truthfully, I hope you do find students that don't feel you are passing judgement on them as beings, but rather simply giving them what they seek, to understand better, even if the understanding is not what they previously held.

@@ultimatemeaning no, I was questioning his assumptions and suppositions and accepting of the romantic dharma. He rarely gives students a chance to question the foundation of his faith. It's as though he believes the dharma is something so tremendously glorious and great with knowledge so vast it is outside of the reach of us mortals but we are graced into the acceptance of the bodhisattva vow. But he remains serious , reciting his vow several times daily and I took him seriously but he didn't accept the validity of my questions. Anyway, I don't have dharma credentials. I came from a country with hundreds of years of monasticism and believe I have a natural understanding. Ken divides the world into relative and ultimate reality and that is where the questions remain unanswered. And just like Catholics in old Ireland, you must accept the teachings of the learned holy people and perhaps that is why he cannot tolerate people questioning his faith in his teachers. Me personally I am starting to relax and feel glad, having been through the intensity of loneliness and starvation in the vacuum returning to the religion of my birth. HHDL says we should stick with our own religion. Maybe he's right. Anyway this evening I can feel the release from the snare if views and my heart is glad. At times with Ken, my natural dharma was there but also my hostility towards the world to which I felt bound. Now I am busy walking away and glad.

I imagine my natural dharma returning in all it's fullness being able to dispel all of his arguments with reference and cross reference to holy scriptures of any tradition. With my own mastery being the authority, only served by the scriptures and not bound by them. I wrote a long paragraph on the Dharma of Ken Holmes and this paragraph was only in conclusion but it did not post. Probably just aswell as it will end up like Samyeling cafe dharma

I cant actually believe how hubris this person is to think that he can have the solution to an argument that has been going on for thousands of years between Advaita Vedanta and Buddhism. Ge assumes to have all the answers and yet is asking me for the most basic of questions. Drop the ego. Thats all you'll fet from me.
So long as persons like this guy cause suffering, confusion and harm to others, you will not reach liberty. You will be forever stuck in karma. Life time after life time. Unsubscribe. He has an over inflated ego. His channel is monetized. That's enough proof in its self. Keep seeking but not here. 🙏💛
@ultimatemeaning7 ай бұрын
Well we teach that the individual is responsible for their own Karma, and that negative karma arises out of negative emotions like anger, etc. ... BTW here is my position on monetisation: kzbin.info/www/bejne/bH3UloKlnLKCg9ksi=KnmWVAq-_XfEI0Pb Of course subscription is voluntary and it is up to the individual to decide 🙏
You are the one who doesn't believe in the Highest Truth. You are the one that's projecting danger. To whom is the danger if there is no individuality? Buddha? The "one" who is looking left and right when crossing the street is consciousness; it's a spontaneous happening; no one is there. Things happen and change, Buddha stays the same. Alibaba Buddhist does it again. Please ditch the robe if you plan to continue to preach your opinions and not facts.

We don't posit the notion of fate in the Buddha Dharma, it is a very different idea to karma. But luckily you can bend karma, because karma is malleable. Its easy "practice virtue and you will experience well being, practice non virtue and you will experience suffering." and regarding fireballs then these things are spoken about in the old scriptures and some modern people seem to have special powers, but these are worldly attainments and can be associated with evil acts and with good. ♥♥♥
