Hey Alan, great song! Your lessons are great! Sorry to go off the topic of this post but I see you do a Glenn Campbell song or two. I am wondering if you could put a version of By the Time I Get to Phoenix together. I hope I didn't overlook it on your page if you already have it. You save me hours searching for chords that fit my range vocally and I love how you flash the finger positions. Our vocal ranges are similar. I know the song would fit your excellent vocal range quite well:) Please let me know if you get a chance! You are the best IMO!

Hi Anthony - It’s called a palm mute; you have to place your hand across all the strings on a down strum a fraction of a second before the pick hits. It’s all about timing and finding the best position for your hand to make contact. It took me a few days of practice (on and off in bursts of about 10 minutes 3 or 4 times a day) but It was worth it.
