Erich, I'm sorry if I'm wrong but I think that the D chord was incorrect when you were teaching the boogie woogie. Your finger 2 was on B but he should have on E. Is it a part of the boogie woogie?Thanks of Brazil!

Hey Eric... great lesson as always ... the reason I came here today is to ask you if you have ever heard the wonderful Ultra-Slow Billy Swan version ( here on youtube if you have not ) ... and if you have ... do you have any advice as to the best way to cover it in his style. Same chords .. same key .. transposed to some other lower pattern ?? Appreciate it man !
@funguy4utube11 жыл бұрын
Hey There Eric - love your great lessons for years. I am liking the singer Billy Swan's ultra slow version of "Don't Be Cruel" ... I am thinking his version is more of a E, A7, B7 kind of arrangement - am I on the money ? Any tips on how to accomplish his version his way ?

Hey guitar sage ... love your stuff ! Two things, on the ( ultra-slow ) BillySwan version .. can you tell me what chords he uses please ? Next is a comment I have about something I notice with the Elvis songs when I play them, they all follow a pretty close pattern .. and I find myself for example, unexpectedly going from let's say a start with "Don't Be Cruel" and all of a sudden I am playing "Teddy Bear" or any of several Elvis songs. They are kind of variations on a pattern, am I right ?

For sure! If you check out my materials teaching the Nashville number system, this'll make a lot of sense. That's why I have a video teaching the 9 chords that every guitar player should know. With a capo you end up playing the same patterns which makes learning very easy. If you can post the link I'll check that video out.
