This is a tricky conversation. Many times a person’s religion, spirituality is based on their environment-where and how they were raised. Many people tend to practice the faith that their parents and/or the country that they are in has taught to be the right way. That is a major influence on what most of us believe. In the U.S. in our households, we were taught one thing, but if we had grown up in Africa or India, are we sure we’d have the same ideology? Each faith feels strongly that their way is the only way, and want to minister to others in effort to convert to them to their specific religion. And I do believe that many of their hearts and intentions are sincere. I try to be less harsh with judgments and more understanding. And I keep in mind that Jesus embraced sinners-tax collectors, harlots, etc…God used and blessed cheaters, killers, adulterers, liars… I’m not saying that anyone should excuse bad behavior, but I see a lot of opinion based and harsh judgement all over the internet (and outside of it). I wish we could uplift more.

I see a lot of people that get offended by language such as, “manifest”, “spiritual”, and “vision boards”. Believe me, I get it, BUT consider these were words in the English language before new age teachings. Not everyone who uses these words are against Christianity. I believe that we have gotten so lost and caught up with verbiage that we have seem to have lost the art of really seeing, feeling and discerning. This is why the verse about God knowing your heart is so important. Intent matters. And when you include God, the manifestation process is the ask, believe, receive. The vision board are just prayers visualized (make it plain, write it down). Spirituality means having the in dwelling Holy Spirit guide you, speaking in terms of being a Christian. Remember, if we look closely and break things down, there are things that others can Biblically criticize us all on-women not wearing head coverings, being haughty, throwing stones but yet not being sinless, etc..
