Is it bad that seeing your loss, and seeing you breaking down the oversights that went into it (which look a lot like the oversights that have gone into mine) made me feel a lot better about the ganks I have lost ships to? I have barely *earned* 2B ISK in my time playing EVE (only a few months), so seeing such a big killmail made me feel better about my smaller (just lost a 150M explo ship yesterday to carelessness, for instance, which is my largest) losses. Also, that demonstrates a really good, useful practice: digging into failure and figuring out WHY it happened, rather than just getting mad at the situation or yourself. Failures are going to happen, it's inevitable. What matters to your long-term growth as a player is what you do after.

I was gate ganked, 43 to 1, at Uedama while heading to Jita in an Anshar (9.5 Bn) with cargo of Fuel blocks (200,000 M3), recloned into home base and got a communication from the gankers saying that I could buy a 'Blue Pass' for 5 Bn ISK and they would replace my ship and cargo, sounded like a scam to me, if I paid 5 they would replace my stuff worth about 12+, yeah right. Not having that, just moved on and came up with different strategies which have worked quite well so far without having to rely on a Jumpship, fun though they are. Fly Safe everyone. Cheers. :)

Any worse stories here than mine? I just started nearly for nearly a month. While doing the AIR missions, I finally tried to do PVE hunting down non-capsuleers in hi-sec. While approaching the Guerista NPCs, I noticed Im getting hit quite harder that usual. And even before I could react to bail out, I was done. Dropping a booster during combat is usually done by players who have carefully considered the fit of the ship and the consequences and benefits of the booster. So if the booster gives shield booster buffs but kills resists, they are not using a resist fit. Just dropping it as a hail mary - probably not going to save you since any boost gain is offset by increased incoming damage.

How to stop suice ganking my friend has been playing for a month and got into high sec mining in his down time he has mined about 40mil in the past week but been suicide ganked 3 times meaning he is currently making -110mil a week 😂😂. He needs to make himself look unappealing. If he is mining solo there is only so much you can do, the ganks are somewhat inevitable. Other than that, playing like a bitch is the best way, I’ve died to players fewer than 30 times across 5 characters in an 11 year time span.
