Yeah, he is right.We cannot blame the Chinese destroying our precious water bodies and forest reserves because Ghanaian politicians and chiefs give the land to the Chinese to do the galamsey.It is the Ghanaian government's obligation to enforce its immigration laws, its environmental laws, or make new laws to restrict foreigners and Ghanaians from destroying our lakes, rivers, oceans, and forest reserves.

This Chinese man is right, it's the Ghanaian that are corrupting the system not the Chinese. Like he quoted in his statement, how will the people know where is the mining located in Ghana, if the Ghanaian are not part of the system to showed them where the mines are.

@@justiceappiah3060 His only purpose is to exploit the land and people. John Henry Clark talked about this in 1994. The Chinese have been planning to colonize Africa for years. The shear temerity, these people think Africans are senseless. They actually sit around and talk about what the will take and divide among other nations. Until the continent unites, the land, Africans on the continent as well as African descendants and the diaspora will be looked at as weak and soft targets.
@adamzaidi1748
@adamzaidi1748 3 жыл бұрын
@@sabrinahoward5891 So you can just go ahead and accuse this man of exploiting the land and the people? Yes it's usually blame others for the problem that your own government has caused. What about African immigrants who immigrate to america? What are they doing, exploiting our system? No they have just come to make a better life for them and their family. Some may come to exploit the system ,but most don't. They come here and work hard to become part of the American dream. And most of them do succeed and as a matter of fact they have a much higher success rate than even black Americans themselves. This is the biggest problem I find with blacks everywhere and that is they blame everyone else for their problems and it is straight BS. It is not easy living under Chinese Communist rule. Now if you said it's the Chinese communist party then I may agree with you but not Chinese people individually. They don't move there with an agenda to take over, that is just absurd.

The chinese man is explaining that. The african people dont have the machines to do any large sacle digging so they desided to partner with people that have the equipment. The african people have a choice, to partner with the Asians or the European. This was an easy choice due to the history of the two different societies and how they have treated black people in the past. D lion

Ghana government issued them visas, they didn’t just walk here. Also it’s up to the locals to allow some immigrant to have access to your natural resources. Galamsey has always been a thing in Ghana, the only difference now is the Chinese are providing the equipment for large scale mining. Before we blame the foreigner, let’s start from blaming our own chiefs and people first. Just like how our own chiefs sold fellow Africans into slave trade 500 + years ago, we are repeating it. This time, it’s our natural resources.

Why should the Chinese care when our leaders don't
@mcbbecks5035
@mcbbecks5035 3 жыл бұрын
The Government should first and foremost investigate and prosecute the Ghana ambassador to China, his operational staff and some dubious immigration officers here in Ghana. The alpha and the omega of the wanton destruction of our land and water bodies lies in the onus of these two establishments. Investigate their financial standings and assets and the proof will lay bare.
@julianprnz7381
@julianprnz7381 3 жыл бұрын
What will be the reason for that investigation? Has the ambassador conducted himself in anyway that suggests he is involved in Galamsey? If he hasn't and he's investigated just because he has relations with China then that could cause international and domestic problems that we can't afford right now. The immigration investigation too could easily turn up nothing as these people all arrived by air with visas or have resident permits. Instead when they arrest some of the people doing galamsey, they should make deals with them. Less jail time or house arrest in return for giving up the names of the people in government who are helping them.

Brother Kofi, this Chinese man is really irritating us. Can a percentage of what they are doing be done in China or anywhere in Asia or India? In the first place, (1) how far is Africa from China? Why can't they go to North Korea, South Korea or India or to the Philippines and engage in this evil act? They see Ghana so vulnerable. They see Africa so vulnerable where the land can be taken for free and the people can be used for a penny. Africa why? Ghana why? I am not in support of mining. Whether legal or illegal. We have taken enough from the soil. The rest must be left for our children and great grandchildren who will be born 1000 years from now. If our ancestors who lived thousand years ago had depleted the soil of minerals like what we are doing now, would there have been a tiny particle of gold or diamond in the soil. Brother Kofi mining is not work. Galamsey is not work. These are acts of robbery. Robbing from our children not yet born. Mining or galamsey must stop! All those foreign CRIMINALS must be sent back to their country by the courts, as soon as possible. I don't want to hear about GALAMSEY at all. Mining is evil. Galamsey is devilish.

Half the truth and half the fake, some Chinese do go some bad things, damage the environment, do not respect the local people! I am a Chinese, I have been in Ghana for 11 years, mainly to do rural water supply and schools, part of the project is to help build, part of their own government projects. I've been around most of Ghana, and many of the locals and chiefs have come to see us, trying to persuade us to invest in their land to get gold, and even asking me to introduce some friends who offer us land to share with us! In fact, I do not like illegal gold mining of some Chinese people, 10 years ago I went to the beautiful small village now one by one become a mess! The source of illegal gold mining is actually Ghanaians and undeveloped chiefs. As long as these people are under control, I believe there is no way for a foreigner to illegally collect gold without the help of chiefs on Ghanaian land! Also, according to what I have seen and heard, many illegal gold prospectors have connections with the Immigration Bureau, and some officials even use this to make money and act as agents for illegal gold prospectors. Every time I come to Ghana to enter the customs, I always queue up and check before I release. And some of them were taken out directly by immigration officials! And it is this part of the people engaged in illegal gold mining, but most of the Chinese are very good! There is a Chinese saying: the forest is big, any bird! There are a small number of bad people in the Chinese people, and so do the Ghanaians!
