Don't spend $40US on this kit. If you want good, creamy, homemade icecream, it's simple. It's 1 cup whipped thickened cream, 1 cup of sweetened condensed milk, and mix it all together. If you're using fruit to flavour it, make sure you blend up the fruit and then reduce it down over a stove to make a fruit syrup. Then freeze it, it should be ready the next day. I like to make it with mango or strawberries. The key to not having ice crystals in your ice-cream is to reduce the fruit right down, you want to get rid of all excess water.

This is also amazing if you crush up meringue into it and mix in some lemon curd before freezing (not sure if this is available outside of the UK? Oh wait, I forgot to add that you should freeze it in Tupperware or glass container, and before you put the lid on, cover the ice-cream with cling wrap. That also helps prevent ice crystals.

As a graphic designer/copywriter, it annoys me so much when I see things misspelled or with improper grammar... or just plain wrong! Drove me nuts for a while with all the products my company makes where I didn't have a hand in the design... right now I'm actually working on some new product labels (literally right now, as I watch your video haha!) and carefully checking everything over, so our products don't look unprofessional. Got so mad the other day when I found out I wrote a bunch of copy for Amazon that was butchered by someone else who added it. Not sure why they didn't just copy/paste what I sent-which was approved copy that went through a stringent approval process, by the way-not something thrown together and open to reinterpretation. Anyway, glad to hear you get salty about the "small things" that actually make a big difference in the perception of the end user! :)
@FannyMMOs5 жыл бұрын
That's true and it's not like it would've taken them that much effort! The closest I've ever been to any English speaking country is a few hundred kilometers, yet even I could've written all that stuff for them so that at least it wouldn't contradict itself. Goes to show how little they actually care about their customers.

Make your own ice cream churn with 2 empty cans...1 one-gallon baen can and 1 one-quart soup or juice can. Put the little can inside the big one and pack ice and thawing salt around it, but not all the way to the rim. Put your cream, sugar and flavouring in the small can and start stirring with a sturdy spatula. It takes a good half-hour, and you have to be mindful of the salt brine sloshing and getting into your ice cream as you churn, but it's still a fun food-science activity for the kids. I have also seen a variant of this activity done using two zipper freezer bags (ice brine in outer bag, ice cream stuff in inner bag) and kneading the bag stirs the cream and helps it freeze up...but you have to take care that the inner bag is properly zipped and does not burst.)

To me, this is about the same as just putting a cookie tray into the freezer and making this at home with stuff you already have 🤷🏻♀️ and definitely not a kids product in any way. Not that kids can’t do it, but I don’t know any kids that would WANT to necessarily. I’d much rather do this at home for basically free (aside from the ingredients of course), and let my kids enjoy the aftermath. Which may not even end up as rolls because... well, if you haven’t seen it, Threadbanger did this at home too. Lol

tips for actual ice cream rolling. you can use any cream. 1. crush up the ingredients being added to the cream 2. act fast try not to hesitate 3. when rolling start from the middle the most important step! just get normal ice cream. rolled ice cream is dry hard and too cold. the lack of air in the ice cream really isnt good.

Definition of machine: an apparatus using or applying mechanical power or having several parts, each with a definite function and together performing a particular task. This.. was no machine.. it was an aluminum plate and 2 plastic spatulas. Which u can buy for less than $5. Or spend the $40 on a slab of marble.. same function with personal color choice. And it can double as a cutting board. There ya go, 2 for one.
