I bought my WSII without doing my normal due diligence. I drove it home, went on Facebook pulled up the 22 Wagoneer/GW group and nearly soiled my Depends.. WTH did I just do? Well, I was just so sick of the bullxxit the two Chevy dealers and a Caddy dealer put me through in the past 15 months waithin for my 4th Tahoe (and 1st Escalade) to show up, I just pulled the trigger on the WSII. What I learned was, the 1st year and the bulk of the issues are over. If you go look at one, look at the sticker on the door. If it was built after January 22 you stand a good chance that you'll be like those of us that have had zero issues. If built before that, not so much. My WSII has 8500 miles on it now, towed my two trailers through the Rockies about 3500 of those and it hasn't had a hiccup in any way. Matt has one of the first ones, he has had the problems related to them, I get it. But talk to people getting the new ones too. BTW, this blows away the three Tahoe's I've owned.. by a LOT, I was born 71 years ago wearing a Chevy bowtie, but this just superior in every way.

You gotta luv how people these days are happy and bragging when their brand new vehicle has no major issues at few thousand miles. Bro, you're buying a 60, 80k brand new car which shouldn't have any issues up to 100k miles except regular maintenance. I mean are standards and expectations really that low now?

Having a family that out grew our Range Rover, I was in the market for 2022/23 Escalade ESV Premium Luxury Platinum, but after months (14) of dealing with them (cad dealers), I bought a 2023 GW III. I got sick of the dealerships around us asking 20K over 115K MSRP. I went to Jeep and test drove the 2023 GW III with hesitation on 510hp engine. I instantly decided that this was a good fit for our needs. I found the 2023 GW III I wanted in another state and called them up and asked for a cash price out the door. To my surprise they said MSRP and also noted that they were including a dealer discount which brought the price under MSRP. I put down my deposit and flew out the next day and was met at the airport by the dealer manager. Excellent service. Reviews like this are very honest and address the concerns I had at first. I only have 1K on the clock now, but am thankful that I was treated poorly by that other brand! I have had no negative experiences with the GW at this time.

I am a first time Jeep owner (JT) and have owned it for four years. I’m a Toyota and Lexus guy, but loved the thought of owning a JT. Like this gentleman has expressed, there’s two sides to owning a Jeep product. There’s the driving, then there’s the owning. It is not reliable, lets get that out of the way. I have issues with it that I’ve never had through total ownership of other cars. The Wagoneer clicks all the boxes, but reliability and overall quality is just not there for the amount these cars costs. The JT is our fun car and our 4Runner is the family trustworthy car.

I live in Michigan roughly 10 miles from where these Wagoneers are built. I’ve been dealing with the same dealership for the last seven or eight years , I have purchased several vehicles from them and in November I custom built and ordered a 2023 Wagoneer. I’ve been eagerly anticipating its arrival, checking my build sheet every day to see where it’s at on the build schedule. Monday it arrived at the dealership and Tuesday morning the dealer called me and said there is a problem with the computer inside the vehicle and it will not come out of shipping mode and it’s not recognizing the VIN #, now it is Thursday and the dealership is still waiting on a jeep Wagoneer engineer technician to help troubleshoot the problem. I’m excited for my vehicle but now I am a little concerned this may be a lemon and it doesn’t even have a mile on it yet

That's very unnerving! With what others have said about the latest builds coming from the factory though, I don't think you have a whole lot to worry about beyond the issue your dealer is sorting through. Thankfully it manifested in something the dealer has to handle though, and not something after you took delivery. Let them do whatever is necessary and I think you'll be in the clear.

My wife and I are going back and forth with the Wagoneer and Defender 130. I've watched just about every video out there on both and spent way too much time reading through the forums online. The Jeep is bigger and offers a decent amount more cargo space which is important to us, not so concerned about passenger space. I like the look of the Defender overall, but the Jeep's interior looks more comfortable and upscale less off-roady than the Defender. Both are very thirsty though and fuel prices don't look like they're dropping significantly anytime soon. Neither brand have a reputation for stellar reliability and that's unfortunately a big concern for us. Hopefully Jeep keeps improving their quality control, there's a lot of folks who regret buying the first year or two of the Wagoener/Grand Wagoneer judging by online forums. Some have little to no issues but plenty of buyers have had a frustrating experience especially given the price point of these vehicles. For now, we'll wait until we can test drive both and keep an eye on the build quality and reliability. Nice to hear from an owner who has had a positive experience with their Wagoneer, hope it continues!

I have never been able to recommend this vehicle to anyone who's asked unfortunately. I keep it clean and people are certainly impressed by it but again it's just a bit off electronically. The GM offerings have some of these same gremlins. As an AT4 owner I can tell you the infotainment system will do odd things, but the those odd things occur on startup only. I've never had something go out while driving. Sometimes the GPS won't work or sometimes the radio won't work, but I will say those issues occur rarely (once a month or so). The issues seem to be software related which is good because GM has patched some of the issues. Also don't forget those GM offerings have had lifter issues for YEARS. Honestly I'd rather have issues with my infotainment system than my drivetrain.

Amazing looking vehicle but not quite the luxury experience/realibilith you’d expect for a family vehicle. Ditto for the Wagoneer experience. Our constantly going back to dealership but at times no Wagoneer loaners available…one time they tried to give us a Compass loaner? We like it enough that we are going to try one more time by ordering a new one once the buy back is complete…but will look for a Series II as they run a different version of the software…I know because of all the loaners we’ve driven…but fact we are willing to give it another try says something?

I have a 2023 Series 3. Nothing but regret. The electronics are glitchy, the new uconnect is slow as a turtle. This is nothing but regret. Stellantis can rot in hell for this garbage. I am sure that even a navigator would be more reliable, and that’s a low bar. The app for a 100k machine is absolute garbage, garbage, garbage. My simple so frills 2022 Ram Warlock is more reliable than this thing. The screen blacks out, the audio disappears, the heads up display is missing all features, the dealership has no clue what the flying f..k that car is actually supposed to do because the manufacturer messaging is absolutely deplorable. The AC in the seats is barely noticeable. We traded a 2022 Telluride Night Sky y loaded for something that was almost twice as much with half the options, and of that half, half of those barely work. The Kia app was a work of art compared to the Wagoneer app. Shame is not on the plate for Jeep or a Stellantis. I feel like we got burned. We will likely trade it in at a loss. At this point, a car from the flinstones would likely be more consistently reliable. Stellantis…YOU SUCK! Buyer beware!

Don’t trade for a 2021 Escalade! The fuel module goes out and you are stuck. Ours went out at 21000 miles. We are on second battery. When they go out you can’t jump start these cars. It’s time to tow. Just a heads up. We were stranded 5 hours in the middle of nowhere with that fuel module in a heat wave!

How could you do a review and not know the mileage you got on the ‘featured trip’? Also, it’s an American car, you should expect the fit and finish to be shady.
@DirtRoadTherapy
@DirtRoadTherapy 8 ай бұрын
Sorry we missed the mark on that. As this was an interview style just following up on the owner’s experience, I overlooked having that metric nailed down. Also, still plenty of American made cars that have good fit and finish, especially in the >$70k price range

Great review, and helpful. Incidentally, that title should say "A League of Its Own". Not 'Leage', and there is NO apostrophe in the possessive pronoun its. That's for the contraction (like, it's a great vehicle). The stupider we get in America, the more we like to complain when people correct simpe stuff. That's a mark not of ignorance, but of stupidity (ignorance that doesn't want to be corrected).

I'm happy you found the review helpful! You are not the first to point out the typographical error in that title. Unfortunately I noticed them after the video went live, so there is nothing I can do now to edit. I did not seek an undergraduate degree in English, but come from a family of writers. Naturally, I find myself mentally correcting typos (such as the one in your comment) and understand your position on the subject. We truly are handicapped with technology like Autocorrect and surrounded by poor English and grammar from social media perpetually cheapening communication. I'm not sure if you meant to be condescending with the last bit. As a producer and editor, I can't help but encourage you to find better words to communicate that sentiment. Regardless, I'm going to assume you meant the best. Thanks for your comment.

Word salad of nothingness. What do you mean by applied engineering? You explained poorly. I'm sorry but this was a horrible review. The dealership only did what Jeep paid them to do to repair your car, they didn't do it for free.
