Except that "pyrex" is made with Soda lime Glass, and not Borosilicate Glass. NOT as Temperature Shock safe.

Do not buy the Pyrex glass containers. The plastic lids crack during routine use, such as putting the lids on and removing them regularly. I bought the 12-pack set from Sam’s Club and almost all of the lids are cracked and the contents leak, making them useless. There is a thriving Pyrex lid replacement industry on Amazon so the company must be aware of their design flaw. The company also sells replacement lines so this is obviously a planned obsolescence strategy. Thanks a lot Pyrex. Your short-term greed has shaken my confidence in a company that had a proud heritage of being the world’s leader of the glass food container industry.
