The problem is that when I record directly with a micro SD card and once the file is loaded by requesting that I give me a work area, it only shows me a room in the area, there is something that is poorly configured on my part or it is a problem of machine?. in longer ray5 , how many millimeters is the length of the following profiles? 1 - x-axis frame profile 2 - left and right frame profile 3 - rear and front frame profile Thank you for telling me the exact size of these profiles

So, a bit late reply but here i am! You can engrave glass with laser of this type, however you must darken in 1st. I use matt black spray paint. It's easy to apply equal coat of paint and guarantees good engraving.

When I watch videos about things I do not have much experience with , my eyes glaze over and my ADD kicks in and I quit. I would like to know for the beginner Hobbyist What is the real difference between a 5w laser vs a 10w laser, I understand there are tons of opinions on brands etc. I intend to engrave mostly, cutting has not been something I have given much thought, Is having the capability to cut thicker material something that will present itself as my skills grow?

Great video, thanks. It doesn't have air assist, it has a cooling fan. You need to add an external air pump if you want air assist.

hi how would this compare to the comgrow z1 10w. i really like the look of the longer but the comgrow has x2 motors so i think if i wanted to increase the size it would be easier.

Hey Andy, Im not sure what you mean by increasing size. As for motors, Im assuming you mean x2 as in (X and Y) Axis motors. In that case, the Longer also has that. The Z1 would b my second go to choice after the longer, If you are willing to sacrifice a little precision to get a better deal. Feel free to ask more questions. Hope this was helpful. :)

@@LuigisProductReviews hi thanks for the reply. The comgrow z1 looks like it has 2 motors on the y axis and 1 for the X. The frame is just extruded aluminium so my thought is I could change its size easier than the longer because I wouldn't need to get a rod to go from 1 side to the other.

A nonflammable/flat base, called a wasteboard should be used. I suggest mdf or a metal honeycomb.

I'm doubting between this Longer Ray5 and the Neje 3 Max. I like the bigger size of the Neje, but since it will be my first experience with laser engraving and cutting, the Ray5 might be a better choice to start with? Although it's not my intention to buy another one after a short time again, so I'd prefer to make a good decision right away. I want to use it for my small business in handmade baby items, like milestone cards, birth signs, room decorations, personalised stuff etc. But also for engraving my own wooden beads that I use for teethers and pacifier chains. The only thing is, for cutting name boards, the larger working area of the Neje might be better.. Which one do you think would be the best for this sort of stuff? I was also wondering if the laser assist can be controlled with lightburn or if it works in a different way. Couldn't find that anywhere. Thank you in advance for answering!

I'd go with the longer ray 5...they sell an extension kit for like $90 plus tax on amazon and the ray 5 engraver 10w for $365 plus tax on amazon

@@cc-rr5nc Yeah, I did go for the Ray 5 10W indead. Have it for a few months now. It was a good choice, didn't regret.👌🏼 Might upgrade to the B1 series is a year or so though.

Interesting video here. More faster; the more deep cuts. Seems having a 10W is great for fine cutting and detail.

Hey Gabriel. Generally, more watts means more speed. But Focus points are what affect the cutting detail and depth. Most of the time, when a machine has more watts, it also has better focus points. :)
