Don't buy Apexel 60X Zoom Telephoto Lens

1) Kase 300mm lens has 10x optical zoom (Good for taking shorts/reels and potrait photography with short distance. Good optical quality and less chromatic aberration). Cost Rs 7500 2) Apexel 28x is average for portrait photography (has high chromatic aberration and image quality is soft). Can be handheld. Costs around Rs 2800. 3) Apexel 36x is a good lens for portraits and short distance bird photography but has chromatic aberration and cannot be handheld. It needs a tripod/monopod. Costs around Rs 5000. 4) Apexel 60x - The only lens available for long distance bird photography and moon photography using mobile. Optical quality is better than Apexel 28x and 36x. It needs a tripod and cannot be used handled as the magnification is too high. You need the right phone that mounts well with this lens to use it properly. Costs Rs 7800. All the above lenses need the right phone with correctly placed camera sensors to attach the lenses. Smartphone photography is good using the Apexel 2x telephoto, Macro, Wide angle lenses. Using a telephoto lens on a smartphone needs practice to get decent results. Bottom-line: Apexel 60x is hard to recommend and not recommend as well.

There may be something wrong with your Apexel 60x lens or you can't handle it properly. I Watched a lot of telephoto lens reviews on KZbin, and what I found was that the Apexel 60x is the only lens that performs better than any other lens. Apexel 60x is better than a Kase 300mm lens.

I tried it n number of times, and even if I mount it on a Tripod, the results are nothing to brag about. Even in all other youtuber's videos about Apexel 60x, just check the photo quality again. The photos end up being softer and it's not worth spending time if you are serious about photography. It is for people who have only a phone, and want to spend Rs 7500 on this lens, and are causally taking photos/videos. If you ask any serious photographer, they say a big no. It is a waste of money. The most important thing depends on your phone model. This lens doesn't fit on most of the phones. Only on few phone models, it fits well. Bottom-line: The photos and videos are soft and get serious Chromatic Aberration. I still stick to my review and comments.

​@@techcassette Yes, this lens has some chromatic aberration problems. only when captured in direct sunlight. But we can easily remove that chromatic aberration with the lens correction filter in Photoshop. By editing, we can fix the image and enhance its quality, which is not a big deal. For mobile There is no other zoom lens available in the market; from the perspective of zooming and for bird photography, a 60x zoom lens is still better. This lens is good if used with a tripod. Agreed. I've watched these videos before. Even in his photos, you get to see softness and chromatic aberration. Even after editing, you can still see softness. Can't complain much from mobile telephoto lens. But the point is who the user is. If the user is a causal hobbyist who doesn't care much about image quality and sharpness, this lens is okay. But for people who care more about image quality/sharpness, they can go to the DSLR/Point-and-shoot cameras. Again cost factor comes into picture. Let's consider Balaram, he is a very good professional photographer. He uses this lens for causal photography and for KZbin. But he uses full frame Nikon mirrorless camera for professional work. So it all depends on the user and their priorities.

I am also thinking the same... Recent I bought Apex 60x zoom lens but returned due to delivery problem. In the meantime I am thing to buy canon 55-250mm lens instead of ordeing the Apex zoom lens again. I think It will give more quality photos and more feasible in both carrying and taking pictures.

Yes that's a great lens. I bought the canon 55-250mm lens. I use it with my canon 200D mark2 and Lumix G85. For the Lumix, I bought a Viltrox adapter to use canon lenses. The 55-250mm lens is an excellent lens.

For serious photography yes, use a dedicated camera & lenses. For casual use & fun use the Apexcel will suffice. As you mention for the other equipment, try to buy the scope & kit used, you can get it really cheap and not lose money if you sell it later. Most people (I'm in the USA) have some type of Smart phone, so the attachment makes sense. One big downside is the zoom lense is quite large, & not very mobile. I also wonder about how badly the phone & scope would shake if you didn't use a remote for photos. I should have a used Kepcoa (store brand name put on an Apexel product?) 18-60x 60mm lense arriving in a few days. I'll need to decide if getting a smart phone kit is worth the money, about $18.00 USD direct from Apexcel.

I have Samsung FE phone; it is bad on photos.. Better you get an old version of Pixel, Samsung Galaxy Ultra, which have great photo abilities ( e.g: Samsung Galaxy S9 or S10 Ultra is a great choice, same with Pixel ) ... FE range phones are meant for voice callers only.

36x lens is similar to this 60x lens. But a bit easy to handle than 60x lens. I wouldn't recommend it though. Instead, you can try Kase 300mm lens, which is compact and easy to handle. Kase 300mm lens has good optical quality

Hello Fernando, For a decent quality with phone, this lens is suggested - Kase 300mm lens. I wouldn't suggest the apexel lenses though. Apexel 60x zoom lens does have the reach to capture the moon. But the optical quality is poor. A bridge camera would be the best for moon photography. Nikon Coolpix P1000 or P950 camera would be ideal for moon photography.

Since the PHONE has 10X zoom, we do not require muh Optical oom on the Telephoto lens/ monocular.. In my opinion one should not buy Telephoto lens / monocular beyond 10X zoom.. ( I bought 12x and regretting now). Nothing can beat SLR camera lens, but the ideas is to take more juice out of your Smart Phone on which you paid huge money.
