We saw this coming. It simply boils down to money. It's the only topic of conversation. The consumer wants a saving (especially in this economy) and the designer, niche houses and sellers want to protect their profit margins. Who wins? Clone houses. Designers and sellers have been greedy for years. In order for them to survive and compete at this point, they have to drastically drop prices, not increase them. Simple math. The greedy days are over. The consumer is almost tapped out because of other factors.

@Sheliroc21 valid point, however I must intercede, the “Clone Companies “ is most like just a group of individuals who control all the “inspired” brands. For example I would say Afnan Company is legally printing money 💰 9Pm is a great example as the produce 8000 bottles a day, than from UAE 🇦🇪 another few select individuals control the “Western” markets. Which translates into they make big money 💰 as if they owned a billion dollar company but with 12-15 employees per company. Normally billion dollar companies have 100 plus employees. same thing happens in the brand name sunglasses 😎 company one 1️⃣ man controls 95percent of the top brands in Italy 🇮🇹 and told me that the highest price is Chanel glasses and cost him $9 the very highest model to complete average price on Ray van and Oakley are $2.59 to manuf😢acture.

I stick to clones because the price is affordable for everyone, also to be honest the a lot of the original fragrances seem to always be reformulated to the point where your sillage and longevity wont perform as long. The clone game has some amazing fragrances like Lattafa Oudain, Fragrance World Suits, Lattafa Khamrah and Lattafa Najdia.

Yes and like to jack up the prices based on scarcity rather then what the fragrance is actually worth. Even clone houses do this though so I don't know whether its the resellers/discounters to blame for this or the actual people making the frag but it can be rather annoying, only diff is that clones are still relatively cheap despite fluctuation in price. Take those Divin asylum prices for instance. Due to its scarcity I've been seeing some pretty asanine prices not only on ebay (where one would expect that sort of stuff), but on actual frag sites as well. Like I get trying to make profit but that just greedy in my opinion. Imagine if this was acceptable and common place in any other industry - like i expect people on ebay to do this but not legit sellers

I started with clones, now I am drifting towards higher quality Arabian fragrances (ex Ahmed Al Maghribi, Arabian Oud), I am also purchasing some original fragrances even expensive ones. Clones and Inspo's I believe are a great way to test and experience the DNA of a particular fragrance. If that same DNA is something I absolutely or just cant live without, I'll usually buy the OG to support the Brand.

Nice breakdown Neeb. I personally try to avoid clones. I end up buying the OG if it’s a banger. I prefer to buy decants and select full bottles of the OG that way. Quality over quantity. That being said I do still have a handful of clones. It tends to be clones of fragrances that I don’t vibe with enough to buy the OG. There is definitely still a place for clones.

Much needed video which the entire fragrance comunity should watch, each point was addresed very well and personally i cant find any fault with "clones" outside of bottle design, but lets be honest we are all in this for smelling good and experimenting as much scents as possible unique,sweet, fresh, woody, feminin, unisex, masculine etc.

The bottle design of a fragrance does really matter, it's the juice inside that matters. And the presentation of many middle Eastern clone are way better that a lot of designer and niche house. In fact some are overkill. Yes some are terrible. But most now are days are well presented. For example oud noir be Arabia Prestige; a very cheap fragrance with great presentation. The bottle very heavy and the cap is also very quality. The juice inside is actually the best Green Irish Tweed I've ever smell. It smells way more quality that Armaf Tres Nuit.

That Azure Royal recommendation 🔥🔥🔥 I was on the fence about megamare because of the Mineral Seaweed note, Azure Royal is only the parts of Megamare that I liked. Its more synthetic but they really worked some magic with this one, the opening is well done it’s a treat!

I used to do it in the complete reverse order to how many do it . I used to buy the OG and then the clone . That kinda changed with aventus for obvious reasons but that system always stuck with me but over the last few years I’ve felt more and more cheated pretty much with every purchase. The last one being afternoon swim after smelling it for the first time a few summers ago , I had to buy it , that summer I got through sooo much and knew I had to get a dupe . Someone had told me about a firm that had the DNA nailed so I was expected it to be good but what I got blew my mind. The clone was better in every aspect… it was £32 for 60ml 😕 Creed aventus … club de nuit limited edition blows it out the water Perry Ellis 360 red smells better and last longer than acqua di gio . I’ve got so many that I feel that are better than the original and yet some how smaller firms are starting to do a better job . I’ll carry on buying the original 🧬 because I’m daft but I understand why people don’t

Thank , you for doing this video. I am so happy for my cheapies. I will say that because of the cheapies i'm now very interested in the niche fragrances. As a mother of five i couldn't justify buying a $400 perfume. With that being said i wonder if you could talk about the increase of sales from the niche fragrances because of the cheapies

Great infovideo. I never had dna test, but discovered 15 years ago, via grandmother's birth certificate, that I am part Arabic. I have enjoyed fragrances for over 40 years. I have been experiencing Arabic fragrances 5 years and there is now a special place in my heart for them. As an aside, math is much easier using Arabic numerals, instead of Roman numerals. LOL.

Second time watching this video. And I do have to say it's a great time to be into is hobby. I have a relatively small collection compared lot of people into this. I have about a 100 but the people I work with think I'm crazy. I have gotten a few co-workers into fragrances a little bit.

Yes some niche houses use higher quality oils,but any fragrance over 200 is over priced.the mark up for some fragrances is insane,I’ve spent over 200 dollars on a lot of fragrances and very few where actually worth the price tag

It’s ridiculous at most they spend like 30 dollars at max to make the fragrance and they mark it up like 930% also Jeremy exposed the business yet he did mark up his fragrances as well 😅 I appreciate clones and I will continue to buy them good day fam

I have 18 fragrances in total and I started using interpretations/inspired by's about a year or 2 ago. Out of this 18 only 4 are designer fragrances (No niche😊), I doubt I will ever get crazy for designer fragrance again (because of the price and poor longevity) unless I'm able to find them at our bi-annual L'Oreal sales, for a fraction of a price... Please continue bringing us something new, so we can satisfy our curiosity or addiction 😜 if its that.
