Speed 2 makes a difference for sure. Also the Amp/HR doesn’t determine the power so much when fully charged. Just how long it can go. My M18 metal saw came with a 8amp/hr battery but I can use a 5.0 and it still cuts the same just not as far haha
@paulbodenstab917 Жыл бұрын
Supposedly the 6.0 and up have an extra fuel cell which allows for more power. The 2.0 and below have one less fuel cell and therefore offer less power.
@thorn337711 ай бұрын
@@paulbodenstab917 His pinned video on Buying and Using Milwaukee batteries explains this and the fact that there is some cross over of size vs amp hour. A 3.0 that is the same size as a 2.0 has the same number of cells but better quality. As where the larger 3.0 has the extra cell, same number of cells as a 4.0 or 5.0, but lowest quality cells. Buying the highest rated battery in a particular size will give you the best battery at the lowest weight.

I've always said they are underpowered and your demonstration proves it to me. None of the other brands would have had the difficulty going though that piece of pine that the Milwaukee couldn't muster. As to which of the others are better that depends on their usage and price point. After my Milwaukee drill fell apart drilling a hole in a ceiling for a can light I tried the Dewalt and haven't looked back. I reached out to Milwaukee but there was no customer service. NEVER use “CLUTCH” Settings unless you intend to “Fail” on a bindup. 2. Hammer Drill/Drivers have a markedly Lower Torque and, are at best, a compromise. Yes, if you often need a “Hammer Drill” these are good but only Good/Mediocre as a Drill where they will “Fail/Bog Down) … (they are also cheaper than the Drill/Driver check the price)

The headline almost had me. If you can do any type of research or get any information with your connections because I’m sure you’ve heard but there’s an ongoing debate in the field that Home Depot gets cheaper quality tools than their tool supply counterparts like ace, hardware or tool stores like that. I have yet to find any concrete truth. Some say the internals are made differently. If so, could you maybe disassemble some of the tools from each place or maybe talk to any representatives and ask them it doesn’t really make sense but also if the money is worth it, I guess it does make sense to the companies

I don't understand what's going on here. The volts are the power and the amp/hours are run time. A 6 ah battery will have the same power at a 500 mah battery. The stalling is in the tool and designed to prevent overloading the circuit.

Anyone have intel on when the 15amp drops?

I though, it's all about the sensor of anti kick-back, maybe you can try pull the trigger 5 times after it stops and then pull the trigger to continue your work... It's my humble opinion, Vince 👌🏼😊

If it’s the auto stop that’s cutting the drill off you can change it with putting the selector switch in the middle position and pressing the trigger 5 times. I accidentally stumbled upon that 😂

Based on how a recent warranty on a M12 6ah battery has gone w their new eService I’ll never buy Milwaukee again. It’s a nightmare to deal w them and it takes forever, like a month start to finish to get back to work!

Explains how I got to my 4th Milwaukee charger… Home Depot bought. 1 bad battery in the batch as well.

I have bought the Milwaukee hand truck luggage cart many times and it never lasts longer than 3 weeks out on the road on my luggage. Not durable at all and won't last....

Maybe but the drill down a gear and not on 2 but 1 and it may go through easier. 5ah is not more or less powerful than 6,8 or 12. Ah is the capacity of a battery, how long will it last doing work at x load.

gen 4 has a setting like a auto clutch so you dont break your wrist .... put it in between forward and reverse and click the trigger 5 times to shut off the setting 🤦♂️

Seems like all those batteries just stopped and started. I want a drill that continues to run non stop when I'm drilling.
