The pocket shot would make a better "survival" weapon 🤣 Using plastic fletching on a bow without a centershot and elevated rest, I'm surprised it didn't kick more, but I'm guessing that's due to Armin's skill.

@timothym93983 жыл бұрын
It's sad, because with just a few design changes you could easily make something that at least functions. Not that hard to make a spliced takedown with a swivel hinge on two cheap modern recurve limbs. Hell just make a folding and locking version of the many traditional styled takedown bows.

You would like to think people who need a bow for survival would also have space for a tiny allen key ;)
@fritzkrakaz3 жыл бұрын
I think its more accurate and travel further by simply throwing the bow at the target......
@nucpr3 жыл бұрын
Assembly error. Those were not arrows that came with it they are parts of the limb. You insert 4 into each end of the central piece and latch the end into the sharp area where you looped the string. That brings the poundage up to 40 and also protects the string from the sharp edges. Also those were not targets they were limb wraps to bind all the limb pieces together. Of course you will get bad results from not assembling it and then launching the limb pieces like arrows!

@Armin Hirmer I have been shooting on and off for a couple of years. Recently everyday and have gotten very accurate at 30 yards. I have astigmatism In my right eye and I am right handed. I cannot aim with my right eye as my left eye is dominant. Do you suggest I continue shooting right handed with instinctual aiming or should I do the hard thing and switch to a left handed bow?
@ArminHirmer3 жыл бұрын
Eye domination does not matter that much when you shoot what is generally called instinctively:) in this way you have both eyes open and on the target, not aiming over arrow or anything else

@fancymcclean62103 жыл бұрын
Could use it to hunt those pesky mossies. The arrows supplied are too heavy for that 'bow' and the brace height too high. Also it has got to be the ugliest bow ever to grace your range. There are so many better options for a survival bow. As you say, a reflexed PVC bow would be a better (and cheaper) option. You can get a US bow that looks similar (I think it is called the SAS bow). The build will be of much higher quality and it might have some utility in a survival situation. Personally, I would prefer using one of Dave Mead's bamboo bows. Flaxen Saxon.

If you choose the worst consumer bow, then of course you can easily say that all the bows from China are bad, so buy only OUR bows)) In fact, there are a lot of excellent bows, for example, the company "junxing" can make a short bow from the shoulders of this company by pulling force 90 kilograms, and a huge flight speed, and all this for a couple of dozen bucks. Yes, yes, the $ 50 bow is better than many custom bows from the $ 500+ crafters.
