That dashboard is so ugly. I had a 2010 BMW 3 Series. The dashboard and interior was so nice and comfortable. I remember the cruise control on the speedo looked like a submarine gauges when the cruise was set. The cruise set went around the speed gauge and set to 75 mph. It looked so cool, but i don’t see anything cool about that lcd display. I drove a 2020 BMW and didn’t like that digital display in the dash, but this one is beyond me what BMW tried to do. I know the 2024 Ford Mustang has the same set up. Looks weird

You CAN absoutley repair a runflat. I had one plugged on my 2020 X5 and it went another 10,000 miles until i replaced all 4 tires. That is a bunch of crap that you cant repair them. Just a way for them to scare you into buying extra coverage.

It's true you could repair them but you don't know for sure if you damaged the run-flat portion of the tire which is the problem. The main reason I didn't just get my tire patched was because the nail was located too close to my sidewall anyway.

I just got my 2023 330i and the runflat tires are an option you don't have to have them. When I configured my 330i I chose the non run flat performance tires. They also have all seasons as an option when building the 330i if you wanted them.

I orded a 330i G20 LCI but BMW told me that the adaptive m suspension is not available atm should I wait for that?

The M sport suspension is extremely capable, but the adaptive suspension is definitely better. I don't think adaptive suspension is even available in my region on the 330i models. Only the M340i.

To be honest, when I got the car; I hated the shifter location and the constant need for using the screen rather than physical buttons but about 3 weeks in, everything felt like second nature and I have zero complaints!

Trying to decide if I should get a M340i. I just bought my car in August 2022 but I already feel like I want something faster. I have a fully loaded VW Jetta GLI so it has all the features I need and wanted but the 0-60 is 5.7 seconds. Although it’s 60-100 is quick af, I still want a car that can do 0-60 in somewhere between 3.0 and 5.0 seconds.

The Golf R is a little rocket and can do ridiculous 0-60 times for less than an M340i but the M340 definitely has more presence and luxury attached to the badge.

I'm in the same boat. We bought a 22 Lexus ES 350 and while it's a great all around car, it's just........boring. I have an order in for a 23 M340 but still waiting for the dealer to get an allocation.

Run flats suck! Had my car 15 months and I patched one tire which lasted 2 months before a rough stretch of road finished it off. Then I tore up yet another tire on our wonderful NY state highways. After the first tire cost me $425 at the dealer I now buy used run flats on e bay. Second tire I replaced cost only $180. I just bought another used tire for $170 which I now have as a spare to use when I need it. Both used tires had 9/32" tread left. Prior to all this I could not honestly remember the last flat tire I had. Just can't use run flats on New York State highways at speed cause the on/off ramps are in brutal shape and slowing down is just dangerous in traffic. I am not sure if it is the 228i itself or the tires but harshest ride I have ever had.

Unfortunately you need to drill holes into the black bar but it's well worth it in my opinion.

I don’t agree with your first call out. I owned a 2020 330i for 3 years. It came with run flats but I eventually put on non-RF tires after those wore out. Never experienced more punctures with the RF tires compared to others. And in the US, BMW dealers have repaired punctures on RF tires as long as it’s not in the sidewall. Discount Tire in the US will also repair any run flat for free. While non-RF tires ride better IMHO, I did spec RF tires on my new 2023 M340i. It’s the only way you can get it with the higher top speed limiter for some reason.

You're not suppose to patch a run flat! That is super dangerous. It's a reason they are run flat is so they have a harder time compare to Non RF tires. I know my BMW Dealership they offered the coverage on the wheels for like 30 more dollars a month to replace tires for free. I regret not adding it on! Now, I usually shop with Agent Tires and get them a better deal than the dealership and have my friend mount them on as he specialize BMW. Once I get a slightly better job I might go for the M440i or M2 or used M4 depending on the price. Regret not getting the 2019 M2 at 54k 6 speed

@@xGOFORBROKEx You might want to write a letter to Discount Tire then if you truly believe run flats cannot be patched. For some reason, I tend to believe them and their team of lawyers and engineers who have decided it can be safe to patch punctures in runflats. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks for sharing! $700CAD / tire is about right for a modern day sporty luxury car. At least that's how much the tires for my car will cost when I replace them: 22" for summers and 21" for winters. I have a 2023 BMW iX 50 which will probably chew through tires very quickly because of it's weight (5700 pounds) and how much power it has. I always replace my tires when they wear out to 50%. Also, the 401 and 400 are riddled with pot holes and never ending construction which leave unfinished abrasive surfaces that can wear out tires even faster. You have an amazing car! I would just swap out the run flats next time you change tires. They just add more weight and more headaches. If you get a puncture, it will not just go flat right away. Plus you can actually repair it as long as it's not on too close to the sidewall.

I think somewhere around 2000kms. My dealership told me the only cars they have with break-in periods are the M cars because they're higher strung than M Sport cars but they could be wrong!

Tell the dealer not to install the front plate bracket, install it yourself and line up the top of the plate bracket to the top portion of the front fascia seen @2:12. it's a very easy install and makes a huge difference!

I drove my buddies 2019 M340i which is pretty much the same car. It’s an absolute beast and much faster than the 330i but the handling feels the same, if not better in the 330i because it’s 100lbs lighter due to the smaller engine

The car is engineered and designed to use run flats. Switching them out is really unwise. Just don't drive like a knob and you'll be fine.

@@thenew330i maybe so. In Australia we don't swap tyres. The advice is to use the run flat which the car was engineered for. I have a smaller wheel on my car and I find the ride very comfortable and quiet. Replacement cost is equivalent to a conventional tyre here anyway.

Some people prefer the hassle-free of using all season tires regardless of them not performing as well as a winter/summer tire setup. I also suggested to spec the car with the summer tire setup and just purchase traditional winter tires.

You're incorrect, I contacted the tire manufacturer and they said and I quote "We're not responsible for replacing tires due to punctures, only for product imperfections or malfunctions" Also, the fact that I've had 3 punctures in less than one year with the Run-Flats while never having a single puncture in the past 10 years of my driving career makes me believe it's not a sheer coincidence and in addition, was agreed with by a reputable tire company that the harder tire compound is more prone to tire punctures.
