Ok but let's not act like any of the cheaper clones haven't had quality control issues either. I must have bought and traded 3-4 different batches of Club De Nuit intense man, all having poor longevity and lacking in overall performance.. If you want something that's going to smell like aventus, stop kidding yourself and just save up for it.. the batches don't vary that much, they only do because the ingredients generally aren't synthetic. Since buying aventus recently, I've had no issues with longevity, lasts 8 hours. If you have to get a smaller bottle to save some money, there's no shame in that at all, because you won't have to spray more than 2-3 times anyway...

@@lookItUp91 body chemistry has a lot to do with it. Every bottle I've owned has been a dud, and I always order from fragrancenet, so they're legit bottles. For me, aventus is much better, a lot less abrasive and kitchen cleaner like in the opening and mid like you get with CDNIM, and a lot more smoothness and fluidity in it. If you've actually had your nose on the real stuff, no matter what batch, you can easily smell the difference. Like, mugler cologne and Creed's original vetiver smell extremely close, original vetiver is actually a clone of Mugler cologne, but it's so much smoother.

I just bought an Invictus Aqua 2018 100 ml tester for 49$. It is good for 5 hours and it smells amazing. I also got Bentley Momentum Intense and I love it, I get about 7 hours with it for 30$ - what a steal. I've got to admit that I still love the way ADG smells, but 3 hours and at that price... Armani is taking us for fools. I'm planing on buying an ADG Profumo, but it's pretty expensive, but I think it is worth it.

Absolutely agree on not supporting the ridiculous prices for second hand vintage bottles. Therefore thx for recommending an Invictus Aqua alternative, I'll give it a try if I find a sample somewhere. Same for CH Men, though I gotta say, I bought my new bottle of CH Men in 2016, so about 2 years after the hype started, and I think that already wasn't the vintage bottle. Still very much enjoy the scent. With Dior Homme, I also prefer the Intense version, but I do get if people who only want to own a handful of fragrances say they'd rather stick with the more versatile original. For fragrance enthusiasts, I agree, I don't need to have it in my collection since I always have a bottle of the Intense here. And what I can't agree on is Acqua di Gio. Yes, everyone has smelt it before, it won't make you stand out at all, it may even remind some people our age of their dad, but I just really like the scent. In fact, I still prefer it over the Profumo version even. Don't own either so far, but I've definitely thought about going for one, and I'd probably give the original the nod just because I like it better.

I found DHI was really hard to wear with my style of clothing along with my lifestyle. It’s an amazing scent, but I ended up selling it because I wasn’t reaching for it. I sold Aventus because it didn’t work well on my skin. Gave way my bottle of CH Man because it smelled kind of cheap, and I never wore it. Gave away my bottle of Acqua Di Gio Profumo to my brother because it smelled way better on him than on my skin. Still haven’t tried Costa Azzura, but I really want to try it. I haven’t tried anything from parfums vintage

I found a 2016 Invictus Aqua in one of those lowkey perfume shops in UAE, noticed there's ike only 2 left, however I was not impressed by performance at all, it lasted like probably 3-4 hours on skin and projection was gone within an hour or even less..I couldn't smell it on outfit either, trust me, it ain't olfactory fatigue because I haven't smelled a fragrance before that, I checked out the engraved batchcode and it's real, manufactured 4 years ago, so I don't get what's the hype around this fragrance..maybe it's a tester bottle or maybe it's just kind of trash in the performance, the smell however was sexy, even though i'm not a fan of aquatic scents

I can't be the only person who can't stand ADG Profumo. That incense/smoke smell makes me gag so bad and don't get me started on the stagnant seawater/amber wood horror that is Absolu... 🤮 If you guys want a nice ADG clone, check out Freshwater from Bath and Body Works. It smells amazing (and actually unisex-ish) and like the original ADG smelled way back in the day except smoother and fresher in my opinion. The longevity sucks, but there's enough to layer it (shower gel, body cream, deodorant spray, and regular spray) that you should be able to pull off an adequate amount of time where other people can smell you. Honestly, BBW has very nice men's fragrances (the newest one called Graphite smells sooooo good!) and I think they're slept on because it's seen as a 'women's' store.
