I ended up getting Loewe’s Cobalt 7 after watching an earlier School of Scent video, and I can tell you that I still prefer my Bleu de Chanel parfum over it; better sillage, smells more elegant, and stays on longer. (In my opinion of course)

BDC Parfum is the definition of skin scent :( it smells great, but for the price, it’s just not worth it, I still prefer the EDT and EDP, even though it’s certainly a lot better, than the former.

Ameer al oud intense is a standout performer, nice potency and compliments galore. Never smelt by ghe fireplace and cant comment on closeness but i would find it a bit perplexing as Ameer al oud intense is very much typical in the style of middle Eastern oudy scents that we luv and that which have many variants, just seems weird that maison margiela would copy the middle Eastern style. Moustache edp is nice, my partner likes it but i tend to use it as a daily driver rather than a date scent like the One edp.

I agree with your thoughts on Y edp. I enjoy the scent on others, but when I wear my sample on myself it's just too powerful and harsh :/.

A quick Google confirmed Chanel Allure Edition Blanche is £118 for 100ml as shown in this video. Uden on the other hand sell for about £230 for 50ml, so essentially 4 times as expensive per ml. Hardly just a little bit more expensive than the Chanel as implied.

You can find Uden 50ml for £178 on frmoda, plus you’re going to likely use half the number of sprays with Uden, fragrances aren’t created equal ml for ml, when performance plays a part

I picked up Chanel Allure Homme Edition Blanche 100ml at duty free £86 last summer. I also just picked up Chanel Blue de Chanel Parfum 100ml at duty free at the beginning of April for £88. It was duty free + an extra 20% off for Easter weekend.

I got a sample of Black Panther from the Alexandria website; I got a sample of Tygar from my local Neiman Marcus. Spray one on each forearm and I'm stunned at how NOT a clone Black Panther is. It's a nice fragrance on its own, but I'm getting almost nothing that reminds me of Tygar except maybe superficial freshness. There's a touch of citrus on first spray of Black Panther, but it goes quickly into a soapy, cedary character. Tygar has much more of a zesty fruit with some spicy notes and much more of a musky and ambroxan base. Unless Alexandria sent me a mislabeled sample, I'm not seeing much more than a categorial similarity, and definitely not a clone.

Respectfully Omar, Rochas Moustache is not in the same stratosphere as The One EDP. No fricking way🙅🏾‍♂️ it may or may not, depending on chemistry, prevail in longevity, but that where any advantage begins or ends.

I don't think Black Panther is an alternative to Sauvage. It might be a great scent, but it's in a different ballpark. The fact that both contain citrusses and ambroxan doesn't really make them alternatives 👀

Great video Omar! As you compared the quality of Bentley and Dior, a question popped up in my head: Are you relying solely on your trained nose to measure the quality of the scent or do you feel that you’re a little biased because of the lower price point of Bentley? I’m asking this question because I think Bentley is high quality even compared to Idole Lubin. The longevity is definitely way better than those. I personally have that bias sometimes.

To a certain extent, but I do think Bentley uses cheaper materials, but blended in a luxurious way, definitely a great performer, but Toy Boy often becomes super affordable and I think it smells niche, for example.
