Howdy Justin! Regarding your back problem, please do everything possible to avoid surgery. It provides temporary relief, and eventually one needs multiple surgeries, and with age, it becomes a massive liability to your health. I have seen it firsthand with 2 family members.

You should be able to tell through his pants if it's the silicone all the way throughout the body. Also there has to be some sort of snap in that vest somewhere. That's how they got it onto the body. There's no way they stitched it onto the body with thousands of these figures made

The vest is probably slid on in the factory then the straps are glued into place, perfectly normal to expect from a figure like this, and I've seen it done before.

From a figure perspective and how he looks in the movie, this is a really good representation of Bane. It's as if he was taken from the movie and then shrunken down to a 1/6th scale collectible figure. The head sculpt looks great. It looks like Tom Hardy as he appeared in The Dark Knght Rises. The movable eyes take an already solid head sculpt to another level. The skin texture and musculature are quite impressive. I really like the vein work as well. The paint application is immaculate. The clothing has been nicely stitched and tailored. The figure definitely has a commanding and intimidating shelf presence. However, this isn't necessarily my favorite or ideal Bane design. When I think of Bane, I usually think of the comic book version with the massive arms, veins popping out, and tubes on his back. That's just my own personal opinion though. Regardless, this is still a phenomenal figure! Hot Toys went all out with this one for sure. Congrats on getting the figure! Otherwise, thanks, Justin! As always, I really appreciate the had work! Justin I looked back at the movie and the broken bat cowl from the 1.0 is accurate to the movie, where the new one here looks more accurate to the movie poster that has bane walking away in the background and the broken cowl in the foreground. And the poster had the tagline “the legend ends”. Look at the scene after bane breaks Batman’s back where he tore the cowl off and look at the legend ends poster and you’ll see what I’m talking about.

I went to the Batman Unmasked exhibition yesterday and I can confirm those straps are blue and not purple, as I saw the screen used mask. They're actually not blue enough on the figure compared to the real one.

Great review. Thanks for addressing the vest not being removable. I have mine on preorder. I would consider stripping the vest off after a good examination of it and come up with a creative way to make it resealable. Or i could use 2 different bodies for 2 different looks and just switch the head over. My question is, is this medical silicone different from the silicone used on phicen bodies?

Thank you! Someone did it and unfortunately there is a cut at the mid section so not displayable without it. Phicen use a mix of silicone and rubber called TPE if I remember correctly which is not the same as medical silicone
