Ok. So I'm not a really a fan of Emma's singing. I like like maybe 2-3 songs. Not hating. Just not my cup of tea. I'm not calling her a bad singer or anything. But anyways... This song... Damn. It's literally one of the best songs I've ever heard (not jus from Emma but in general). The vocals are so raw and and it's filled with so many emotions. the first time when i watched this was right after it was out, it didn't move me at all but i thought it was beautiful during february and march things happened between me and my best friend, i felt depressed and suicidal and she sticked with me but didn't really want to hear anything about what was going on with me beause she couldn't handle it it confused me so much, i just wanted her to leave me alone and get out of my life but she didn't this is the first time after those months that i hear this song again and it made me cry a lot the things that happened have broken a part of our friendship, i'm hoping it will come back one day, our frienship used to be so amazingly beautiful

Hits so different 6 years later. When I first heard this I was in a relationship that was basically in a holding pattern and not realising it, neither of us really happy but also finding comfort in the familiarity of each other. It was them that ended up ripping that particular bandaid off in a very "this will hurt you more than it will hurt me" way and as f*cked up as it was at the time, it gave me some real insight to who they were as a person and I'd much rather be where I am now, 6 years on than still be where I was at there.

This is one of my favorite songs of yours. it feels like your entire soul is out there in the open, listening to it makes me feel vulnerable, which is so powerful for a song to be able to do. Song=amazing. Hook etc is top quality. The piano is just too mid-range for me though. It dominates in an unavoidably dominant register (for me anyway) Putting piano tracks with any pop-punk ballad (not pigeon-holing at all btw, absolutely adore this song) runs the risk of just being a few chords rammed into a mix sometimes, and I think maybe this suffers from that at times. like, piano chords don't make a song more heartfelt, emotional, etc. There's enough raw emotion in the vocal track for this to sound authentic enough for me without an extra dollopy layer of piano. But, this is just me. and this track is stuck in my damn head anyway. And oddly resonates right now with my life. So thank you

+Elk Smasher In my opinion the piano is fine (I mean it's still just sampled, and you can hear that.) But I think the sampled drums are a real emotion killer. They just sound too lifeless. Especially in such tracks it would be a much more awesome to get a real drummer. It just adds much more dynamic and life to a song as the drums can ready underline the emotion.

I just listened to the demo on the new(er) record and I love it SO much. I remember being so disappointed with the sped up version being on the original EP. I just never found it to be as powerful of a song when arranged like that. This might be my favourite Emma Blackery song. ❤

This took me back about nine years when I was still with my ex-wife. She was abusive and a cheater. 14 guys, bit till I bled, bruising. As a man, it was embarrassing and since I had already invested so much in her and we have a child, I just wouldn't leave. Took me 2 years to walk out of that house but even then I kept going back trying to work things out. I don't remember what brought me to the breaking point but I'm happier now. It's been a few years now since I've had to deal with the toxicity. I know I loved her but I don't remember why anymore. Anyways, I'm happily married now to a woman who treats me like a king and I treat her like a queen. I have to beautiful children now, including my son who is now 9. Beautiful song. I'm going to add this to my playlist.
