Ang problema sa kapwa pilipino ay hindi alam ano gagawin sa pera....imagine may 1.5million ka na gagastusin sa pag apply ng student visa sa Canada...di pa kasama ang poclet money dyan....if ginastos nyo yan sa pagbili ng farm lot sa mga probinsya nyo at nag business kayo doon ay sustainable na ang buhay nyo...Ang problema kasi mahilig sa uso ang mga pinoy...If gusto nyo mag apply ng abroad mas maganda sa Germany, Finland....Australia at NZ, wag sa Canada dami na ngang nag aalisan dyan....please lang maging mapanuri kayo...currently ang Canada bagsak ang economy....actually pwede ka ngang pumunta doon as visit visa....then doon kayo apply ng work at student visa if like nyo....But sa totoo lang pangit talaga systema ng gobyerno lalo na sa OWWA at POEA....daming checheburecheng hinahanap...yan talaga pahirap sa pinoy...daming issue sa pinas sa totoo lang....

Husband ko po nandyan sa toronto pero ang company ang mag shoulder ng fee sa school plus 1cad$ pa yung per hour nya sa basic na salary na pinimahan nya sa contract

​@jbcanlas that's one of our misfortunes also. I came here then i got my family in 6 months but it was not what we planned for. It's all really different especially if you have 18 year olds because they are already considered adults. 😞

15 years ago, the International students were from rich countries like S. Korea, Singapore, Japan. Maybe at that time the parents need to prove they can afford to send their kids and also the students were not allowed to work. It was under Harper govt.

Canada has big problems. That is one sad thing about having a 'woke' prime minister. The PM's main agenda is about DI (Diversity and Inclusivity); i.e., having people in his cabinet with mixed races and gender orientation as main qualification, and NOT necessarily because they are competent nor are they the ones who can do the job best. And as always- a bad government's quick solution: CHARGE EVERYTHING TO THE PEOPLE (exorbitant taxes, fees, etc...)

Wag mag student visa kung hindi kaya financially. Do research when you’re applying for student visa if that’s road you want. Also, talagang focus school more than work. Remember mahal nag repeat ng course. Mahal ang cost of living Dito. Pagisipan ng mabuti.

Do the math, 1st year tuition, apartment or room rent cost/month, food cost/month, transportation cost/month (subway, bus), if buying a car cost/month, gasoline & maintenance cost/month, entertainment during free time cost/month, and most important one PAMPACUTE cost/month, lol.

Dec 2022 pinanood ko yung documentary ''How recruiters in India use false promises to lure students to Canada'', after ko napanood yun nag backout nalang ako sa student pathway at nag pursue sa temporary work permit sa Regina Saskatchewan(mid feb 2023 ang job offer, months later after sending documents, health exam, biometrics at visa stamp. Oct 19 na ako nakarating dito sa Regina SK). Almost 2 months na ako rito working as a linecook at processing na ang PR application. Kung balak talaga mag PR better na kung sa province kayo mag apply for temp work permit at hopefully matulungan kayo ni future employer para sa PR Application niyo kung yun talaga ang goal niyo.

Take note nahanap ko lang yung documentary nayun since interesado ako mag student pathway back then. Pero yun rin ang harsh realities hinde lang sa kanila pero pati narin sa mga kababayan natin pag dating nila rito sa Canada under the student visa. Kung afford naman go lang pero kung ang goal ay mag PR, better off na mag temporary work permit para kumikita kayo dito compared sa minimum hours na binibigay lang para sa International Students habang nag hihintay sa PR Application.

Great advice ... Why go outside the Philippines as International Student --- when honestly WORK naman talaga ang hanap nating mga Pinoy ? Working student in Canada or AUS is same na mahirap... So if going outside the PHIL, magtrabaho! :)

Will you risk all of your life savings being a student in Canada without any guarantees of permanent residence? Worst case scenario, spending all that time and money only to end up going back home with nothing left.

What if para sa future ng mga anak po ung reason? Ung free healthcare ganun po and benefits in the long run. Kasi dito pag nagkasakit po sa pinas simot lahat ng life savings din.

Yes, its the ultimate sacrifice parents can do for their children but its a big gamble due to the present cost of living unless you have relatives to stay with. Another major problem in using the international student pathway is no guarantee that it will eventually lead to PR since most end up going back home. At present, most Fil. coming over are taking the international business management course which I believe is a complete failure.

Please don’t come to Canada as an international student if you don’t have the finances to support your studies and living expenses. Mashado kasing nahype na mabilis makapunta if student visa and then madameng nagsasabe na pwede mong mabayaran tuition kasi pwede ka magwork. Also nde sya guaranteed path to permanent residency.

Skilled worker talaga ang hanap nila kaya mahirap din kung hindi yun ang industry na target as a student. I know of one who studied Butchery just to get to Australia, he and his family are settled there now but it was a challenge initially for sure kasi relaxed life naman sila noon sa Pinas sumugal lang. Canadian gov't need to put an ease on such IS problem...kaya nga nawalan na rin ako ng drive for student visa pathway..better pa rin ang contract worker pathway kasi usually sagot pa ng employer ang placement fee at secured ang accomodation...

At the end it seems your advice is not to come to Canada this time. Our economy is not good, health services suffer, housing is not affordable and groceries are expensive (Every year, the cost of food seems to be getting higher and higher. From last year, the average cost increase to $300 per month). Because Trudeau open up Canada, job become scarce.

Di lahat ng bansa sa abroad gaya ng sinabi mo. Overall quality lifestyle mas lamang padin sa abroad pagdating sa education, healthcare, systema, kaligtasan, etc. E ang Pinas mahirap padin hanggang ngayon.
