Heavenly Father please continue to give me strength I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I face challenges that can seem impossible especially with raising two children with special needs. Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children and I feel so alone. I’m constantly in fear. At times I want to give up. Jesus give me strength and renew my faith.

Lord, give me the wisdom to know what I can control and what I cannot. I cannot control others, but I can choose to follow the Holy Spirit to glorify you. In the face of every trial, every heartbreak, when things are breaking, I choose love in Your name.

Thank you, Father. I have a friend who is an Episcopal deacon. He's so fed up with the country club atmosphere that has developed at his parish that he's looking for options. This homily is perfect to share with him.

Thank you, Father Mark. I've been thinking and praying over the years about certain life events and situations that I thought by now would've taken place in my life (career related, marital status - still a bachelor - the latter has bugged me a bit as I had envisioned what my life would've been married to my wife, have children, attend Mass together, etc.. so many thoughts, and other items) but no, they weren't realized. I'm of Generation X. But like you said - these possibly could be life items I shouldn't get worked up about and to take it easy and be at peace.
