If all the priests preached this way, there would be more Catholics willing to strive for holyness.

Jesus give me strength I seem to bear the weight of the world on my shoulders as a single mom, I often face challenges that can seem insurmountable especially with raising two children with special needs. I won’t give up but Lord I’m so discouraged. I’m trying to balance everything but Lord I’m struggling to make ends meet, to pay bills, and to put food on the table for my children. Jesus hear my prayers and please continue to give me strength.❤️

As the word of God states, death comes like a thief in the night. So be on high alert. Pray, pray, pray, for the grace of final perseverance.

I often would rest from an intense work week by a lazy day of solitude and reading, often in bed. “Bed rotting” definitely preceded social media. Retreating from the noise and business of the world is critical for the health of the human spirit. Now, though, I often take that rest in an Adoration chapel before Eucharistic Jesus. What a subtle but magnificent game-changer. Talk about exchanging the false peace and false rest of an overactive and anxious mind to the rich peace within the heart from being with the King. Best medicine in the world. And there, you find the most powerful, most kind, most peaceful friend you could ever know.

Yes, there are a good number of things we cannot control. Trying to control them only brings frustration and anger at times even. Thank you very much for pointing this out in your sermon, Father Mark. I am an Episcopalian, but I agree with you on that. All the best on your spiritual path. May the peace of the Lord be with you always.

I try to love my neighbors but I’ve been running into some very bad selfish evil people lately. People all about themselves and worshipping money and their bodies. They walk on whoever they need to to make themselves look good and powerful. I struggle to try and love those type of people. It’s really affecting me to not humble them.

I grew up Catholic and due to relationships and family I was brought into non denominational churches which I now attend. Non Catholic Churches don’t seem to take the Eucharist nearly as seriously as Catholics. They do it here and there. They do have strong arguments against why they do it their way. I’m in a constant conflict about this and which way is correct.

Thank you Father for being honest about this real struggle and truth about trust being hard. It gives me hope and speaks to my heart in what I am currently in the midst of in my life, taking the next step when I cannot see the whole picture and trusting Him in that. May we all be given eyes, ears and heart to recognize what that next step is and trust God enough to take it even if it's scary feels vulnerable to do it. The silence and chains of satan cannot hold us any longer. Praise be to God and His mercy and love and power and loving strength.
