MTD is an incomplete concept. Either switch to Christianity or classical deism. I chose deism. Even though the existence of God can be proven through logic, there is no reason to believe that any doctrine really allows insight into the essence of divine design. Man will always seek to carve the image of his creator from the nearest log.

I’m so glad I didn’t have a phone or social media until late highschool, but I’m also glad I had access to an iPad that was clearly there to be used as a tool. I was able to write papers for school on it and eventually got into creative writing because of this tool. I wrote my first book on an iPad. So I’d say it’s important to ensure kids don’t have free rein too early, but it’s also important to give kids a healthy relationship with technology. And that relationship can only come through proper, supervised use.

Interesting that you, Fr. Mark, and Fr. Mike Schmitz both talked about Aaron Rowlston today!! Thank you for an excellent homily - we all need constant help navigating the social media issue. We have implemented a family policy that our children do not get a phone until 16 once they are driving. It has worked so well. Sure we get some pushback once and awhile, but it’s really been helpful. We seem to enjoy the moment & life!! There are times that I wish I could get in touch with one of my children, but I’m quickly reminded of the headaches & worries we don’t have because of no social media and phones.

Please pray for my grand son Brennan he's still sick has fever of 102.2 n congestión with cough.

(And ways for the naive to spiritually recover.) Our contemporary culture needs to be awakened more than ever. This would explain the sad ending of such a wise man named King Solomon, who perhaps forgot to ask God for knowledge 1 Kings 11:1-13. Everyday we must be wise and choose to pick up our Cross and journey with Christ Our King Jesus and know that we are saved by God's great mercy, the Body, Blood Soul and Divinity of Christ Jesus.Thank you Father Mark for your Priesthood. Father Mark you are so right. We have been blessed to find a small rural community in California and have been raising our family here. My children notice the difference immediately when we go to the suburbs and the big cities. The noise, the crowds, the dirt. My children don't want any part of it. My daughter commented that here at home, she can hear the flapping of the crow's wings when it flies over her head. There is a quiet and a calm that allows you to focus on God and his creation.
