From my research, this is Ruthie's first try at this song and is not a usual song for her to sing so she probably didn't have a fully clear understanding of how the song is "suppose" to be sung and she is bringing her own style to it and that's what people love about her. And of course it will be different to Nicole's version because they both have a different vocal range. As a Ruthie fan, i loved her first go at the song.

ruthie does have a recording of this version from a while ago. I think that she's maybe trying to bring her natural voice to it rather than the voice she might use if she was actually in Evita

I think she must have damaged her vocal chords. She was perfection in Les Mis and Miss Saigon. Her pitch is all over the place in this. And her vibrato is wide. It is heart breaking. She is much too young for this

@@arroncooper6077 What does that mean. I’m a singer and I can tell when someone’s voice isn’t what it used to be. She used to have perfect pitch and a stunning voice with perfect vibrato. It’s not that anymore and it’s very sad. Too young to lose that. Belting 8 shows a week in shows like Chicago can definitely damage someone’s vocal chords.
