A lot of people believe that they are ready for Christian Dating right now. However, just like Sadie and I found out when we were Christian Singles, God has His reasons for keeping us single for a time until we learn some things.
There are MANY Christians out there that are patiently waiting on a spouse and are more than qualified to have one, so we are not saying that it's a "be holier and you'll meet someone" thing. We're just saying that in order to avoid heartache from both sides, it's a good idea to have these 4 qualities first!

It’s so hard because the wider Christian family tell the singles that they can’t be sat at home and expect to find a husband. That we have to go and hunt… like God has hidden him somewhere and is playing a cruel game of hide and seek. This is not who our God is. And so many singles are rushing into relationships and not waiting longer because of this pressure. The amount of times I’ve been told I’m too fussy and have too hi hi standards… is it too much that I want a man around my age/generation who loves the lord? I think not. So I have stopped listening to people as I will be the one who has to live with the consequence of my decision of who I marry. I’m listening to the voice of my loving father who really knows what’s best for me ❤

See I think that dating is like walking down a path and God aligns our path with another person as we walk along it. We work on the type of Husband/Wife we want to be within the will of God and we look for the Husband/Wife we want and we eventually find each other. There is no rush, but as you date or court people be willing to say no to those that wouldn’t be right for you and also consider what you gotta work on in yourself until you find the right person.

Also women usually marry older men, because it usually works out better that way and older men usually are better set up in their life and can be a better provider/protector for a family. A lot of women seem disappointed after dating or marrying men the same age as them.

Your advice is really good. Ive been feeling really discouraged about relationships in general. I wonder why i feel so invisible to God in this area of life. I dont go to church to find women but i do admit being discouraged not making progress relationally while other around me keep finding love and marriage. I felt the same way, but then I realized that God is protecting me from the wrong people and relationships this way. Only your spouse will have eyes for you and vice versa when you meet her. She will want to be with you and you with her no matter what. Trust me on this. Pray to God about everything, for he cares that much to hear from us in prayer. I felt completely invisible too during college, but yet the true daughters of the Lord gravitated towards me because they knew I wouldn’t compromise like they wanted in a man with the party, sex, and drinking culture in college. I didn’t have a full roster to use and dump like the world encourages, but my ex and I from 8 years ago just felt like we always knew each other when we first met. She knew what she saw and wanted from me and was determined to keep the relationship and grow it with me, even when I wasn’t sure about things and what to do. She only had eyes for me and sought me out more than her until I realized why since I was always felt invisible. We only spilt up because of life circumstances separating us when she transferred out to study the major she wanted after we talked about it.

I agree with everything you guys said here! I stopped looking after a previous relationship which I knew God would not have approved, I got out of that situation we remained friends! But I gave up on looking because I’m leaving it in Gods very capable hands! And another thing that you said that stood out to me is trying to meet your soul mate at church there is this guy that is pursuing me in church and I’m like hello I didn’t come in here to find a man !? in his head he thinks that something can materialize from what he’s trying to achieve but he met a very closed door because I feel no connection, I’m not attracted to the man and like he does not get it 😂 but thanks for this video! Wow you guys both were homeschooled? That’s awesome. I was homeschooled and wanted to have that in common to. I think having me and my husband both experienced in it would aid in us having more of a partnership when homeschooling future kids, I just rencently got in touch with a guy who was homeschooled also and I like him alot, he is very compatible with me, our family’s go way back but we were out of touch because they moved. I have decided that, although I think marriage is a beautiful gift, I personally don't believe that marriage is for me. I like living by myself, I feel more peaceful alone rather than in a relationship, and finally I am with the Apostle Paul about how the unmarried man is concerned about the things of the Lord and doesn't have divided loyalties.

Its hard to let my fiance go. I thought he loved me and the Lord. I was certain he was it. Certain of his love. We had a misunderstanding and he walked away. He said he had anxiety attacks. I get that but he left and refused to communicate. Refused to sort things out. Completely shut me out for months! I guess I was wrong. I don’t think a man who loves me would do this.

Let Him guide you and just pay attention to the external things like if she has interest in you and if she wants to spend time with you. Next time you see her interact and start a conversation to connect with her asking about her walk with God and faith. You will learn a lot from that.

As much as I like being single I intensely desire someone that is both pleasing to my eyes but also pleasing in the eyes of the Lord and when I see women whom are pleasing in my eyes but are taken it burns and hurts so badly inside because I desire and feel like I deserve that same thing 😢😭 and I feel like nobody understands despite their claims that they do. Have faith in God and ask Him to illuminate your motivations for desiring a marriage. Sometimes like I experienced, I thought I was asking with pure intentions, but there was impure desires behind it until the Holy Spirit told me this and helped me work in the underlying issue. Other times, we just need to ask God for help in making us grow to be a better person by putting us through the furnace and fire to make us stronger and better for that desire we have.

I don't know. These are the typical christian tips that I am a little tired of. I think there is nothing wrong with going to a church and looking around if there is somebody cute. It is okay to have the longing for someone and it is only a virtue if you are seeking inside the church and not outside. I feel like this gets shamed a lot amongst believers and I don't understand why. This makes me frustrated and sad. Of course we go to church to wroship God but also to build relationships with other believers.
