Terminator 3 has a 6.3 out of 10 on IMDB. That immediately goes to a 7.0 - 7.5 if the following things happen... - John Connor is played by a sober Edward Furlong - We get a background explanation that a partial backup of Miles Dyson's work was used to carry on the Skynet project. Maybe an opening scene flashback showing a recovery team at Dyson's house taking his computer and all his work. - A flashback to the events leading up to T2 are shown with a young Kate Brewster and John Connor. Maybe show a scene overlapping into T2, better tying the second and third films together. - Have a brief cameo with Robert Patrick playing an engineer on the Skynet project, thus explaining why his likeness was used for the T-1000. Rise of the Machines was hardly a "great film" but it had a lot of potential and really could've carried the series further if it'd been done right.

It's a big slap in the face to Terminator fans IMO. And you can use that same logic with a rewatch of T1 & T2 and probably still arrive at your original conclusion. I just think we were robbed as fans with everything post T2. I can't go back and give extra credit because Genesis & DF were so much worse lol. @danielramsey61413 жыл бұрын
@@faz6877 Because. At Least T3 felt like it was actually trying. The Other Terminator films after this one felt a bit hollow. Genesys was close, but it actively damaged the continuity of the Films as now Skynet has a Near OP level of Futuresight, willing to come up with ways of Persevering itself! Not to mention, deals with the removal of John Conner from the cultural mind. DARK FATE was awful, hands down an film that had no Narrative strength, trading out John Conner by literally Capping him out of the rest of the movie just to trade him out for a Female Savior to fit the Female Empowerment statue quo! It was a Bait and Switch you could see coming a Mile away and it just didn't make any damn sense.

From that point on each sequel felt like a shitty parody, each shitting on the franchise in its own unique way. Agree 100% DF is horrible. But that still doesn’t erase how bad the rest of the sequels are. IMO Genesis is hands down the worst. But T3 - DF are all a slap in the face to fans. Linda Hamilton was first approached to reprise her role as Sarah Connor, but she turned it down. In a 2009 interview with MTV, Hamilton revealed that she found the part too insignificant, since her character died halfway through the screenplay, and there was no time to mourn her. She was written out of the film, with a line of dialog by John Connor explaining that Sarah died of leukemia in 1997.
@Divine_Serpent_Geh Жыл бұрын
Sad to read that she thought that. Then she would basically throw her character away even worse when she signed up for Dark Fate.
