for rate limiting + ip blocks in terms of micro services , i think aws WAF is enough, if the others layers like 3 , 4 needs to be included alongside layer 7 , i will go with shield advanced service , right ?

what is dockershim component... what it will do and why they are removing it please explain

As far as I know, dockershim is a layer that is used for run docker container in Kubernetes, because it is not following CNI principles, thats why the layer has been created to used docker containers, but docker is heavyweight thats why we are using containerd and cri-o as a container runtime instead of docker. If you want still want to use then you can search mirantis dockershim.

Redshift + msk or kinesis data firehose for realtime data or glue + data catalog and crawlers for batch processing. If you want to keep data in s3 go for redshift spectrum

Difference between containerd and dockershim component... explain little simple way

containerd is a container runtime which is used to run containers while exactky containerd (high level container runtime) calls runc (low level container runtime) to run the containers. Dockershim is a layer which is used to run docker containers.
