I also understand that you pulling up on my right and in my lane is the same shit as me passing you on the right on a one lane street. I also believe that if you would question that rider he'd probably take offense and feel confronted and shit can come out of it, also was he trying to provoke something 🤔 its a bunch of bullshit but you ignored his ass , best choice. 👌

@@sachsgs2509 Mr. Sachs, I I'm not trying to change your mind or maybe you don't understand what went on here. If I'm in the right lane in the left tire track, both tire tracks are mine. That's if I'm by myself. If I'm riding in a group other rules apply. Same if I'm occupying the left lane in a particular tire track, the entire left lane is mine if I am riding alone. If there are two lanes or more going in the same direction I can lay claim to one lane. I know there are riders that don't adhere to this and that's Ok until it's not. If you haven't been riding very long I strongly advise you to listen up. It's up to you. Hilarious viewpoint of entitled Harley rider in a 1st world country where motorcycles are weekend toys. Although your slam at him being an entitled Harley rider, and slam on the US is totally uncalled for, I do find your viewpoint of how it’s handled in other countries interesting. Indeed other countries are going to be different inherently, as well as their traffic laws and possible unwritten rules of the road. Hell, there different in other states in the US too. Although it could be considered lane splitting, it’s not something legal in FL so not something you should expect to see/experience. In my opinion, motorcycles should be treated just as cars in a lane. Cars can’t pass each other in the same lane (left or right side) so it should be the same for motorcycles. This isn’t an episode of ‘CHiPs’ where Ponch and Jon ride seamlessly side-by-side down the highway. And due road conditions, bikes rarely stay fixed to the left or right side of the lane they’re in. I know not everybody feels the same way. Heck, even my son will pass me like that, or ride a bit too close where I can’t see him in my mirrors. That’s why i prefaced this comment with “In my opinion”. As motorcycle riders, we have to do our best to watch for every sort of problem on the road, while still trying to enjoy the ride. We shouldn’t add to the problem. *Yes, many motorcycle riders in the US ride for pleasure and not because it’s the only source of transportation like in other countries. Regardless of what country, being courteous to others (especially on the road) should be the norm, and not the exception.

@@TC_Rider63 Of the 500 million motorcycles in the world, only 1% are in the USA. My point was not to "slam" him, just pointing out that his perspective of that pass being "unsafe" or "rude" only exists in his tiny bubble of "biker" reality compared to any place where motorcycles are common, basic transportation. I would love to hear his new opinion after riding a dirt bike delivering food in Bogota for a week. We organized a family group ride a few years ago. The rules were made clear from the get go. One of the riders decided to pass in the same lane, in a turn, in the line the member in front of him was in the process of taking. Thankfully it ended without an accident. His response when questioned was, he wanted to ride his own ride. That lead into lots of screaming and yelling that almost came to blows. The result? No one in the family talks to him let alone ride with him. What made things worse, he had years of riding experience under his belt when this happened. Over the years I have learned not to go on group rides and poker runs. This was supposed to be different. Clear simple rules were talked about. Everyone understood, so we thought. I could go on and on. I'm cool with someone riding their own ride as long as everyone is ok with that. This wasn't the case and he should have spoke up when the rules were explained or not gone. In the case of the video I agree 100% with the guy that put it up. It's bad enough when a car does that let alone a fellow rider. All too many in the comments didn't see much wrong with it. Wow!

It is accepted practice by all too many that participate in what I would call disorganized group rides, poker runs, and riding popular twisting roads that are overcrowded with cars and bikes alike, honing their skills or racing each other. In that case, to each their own and it's assumed by most that participate, the risks are known. That said, I feel sorry for new riders that haven't yet realized or come to terms with the risks. I was one of those riders many years ago. It didn't take me long to realize the risk and avoid all of it so I thought. That's what brought me to tell you about my family ride. If it bugged you say something to him not on youtube. Don’t show how mad you are by driving fast after that is not smart. I see yer point but, get in the right lane. He was probably pissed you were in the left going slow so he had to pass you on the right. Both are childish moves and anger on both parts was dangerous. He treated you like a slow car and you like you made me mad now watch how fast i am. Who gives a fuck leave the ego at home and be glad your out having the wind in yer face. Thank you goodnight St Louis.

I live in a country where it is left-side driving. And yes in dual or triple lane there are people who camp on the inside lane ( that would be the right lane)........despite the rule " Keep left except while overtaking) The bagger should not have passed in the same lane or that close But maybe he is incensed that the blogger is in the left (fast) lane. Usually I sound my Fiamm horns when I overtake a sketchy driver. Trinidad & Tobago. West Indies.

He’s your typical pirate bro. Dumpy dadbod, showing off his flappy, pasty bingo arms fluttering in the wind, so Joe Cool he’s gotta smoke a cigarette at the stoplight, this dude is one massive trope. Just see him for the joke he is, have a laugh about him as I do (I’ll do it next to him too, IDC), and roll on with your ride man. 🤘

So technically it was lane splitting right? I wouldn't do it. Also I ride respectfully, but I wouldn't be surprised if people in cages thought the same of me if I were to go between two vehicals.

Left lanes are safest as people coming on or all of a sudden realize their about to go past their exit and run you over getting to it

I hate that behavior too. The first thing you said is mostly why i.e. you didn't even know he was there. We expect to own the lane and the three lane positions within the lane... I once had a guy trying to ride up on me like that. I kept running aggressive blocking maneuvers until he got the point. My guess is he thought he was being kuhl and attempting to ride goose which I almost never do, even with people I know... No, you were not being a whiny baby at all. I would have pulled off exactly as you did while commanding the middle of the lane. Be safe.

Definitely not cool. I've had people coming up faster on 2 lane roads and I've moved to the right of my lane and motioned them up so they can zip by. But no way I'm side by side with someone I'm not riding with and still staying behind at a light if it's not someone I'm not riding with. If someone does that then they are going to get their doors blown off. However I usually ride sportbikes and middleweight nakeds or hyper nakeds. Nothing against cruisers, but it's usually weekend warrior wannabes on Harleys trying to look cool that I see do stuff like this and not the everyday riders. Then the weekend warrios think they're fast and try to leave me at the light. I usually play with them for a few seconds and let them think they have a chance, then roll on the throttle and watch them disappear behind me.

I think you’re both kinda at fault. You were on the left side of the lane making him believe you were allowing him to pass however he recklessly passes you right before an intersection where most accidents happen. Both of you guys could learn from this.

I agree the other rider should not have done what he did. It was dangerous and unwise. ...but as an advocate of defensive motorcycle driving, I have to say you invited the situation on yourself. I was watching your video (well before the 2nd bike showed up) and thinking to myself, here we are again, another biker NOT driving in the correct tire track. I wonder what his 'don't do this' will be about. ...and then sure enough, the invitation to share his lane was accepted! ...something none of us ever want to have happen to us. Guys (and girls), ask your friends - which is the correct tire track to be riding in?? ...the answer is NOT left or right. ...the answer is - the track against the highest threat!!! In other words 'own the lane!' ...in your particular case, YOU should have been in the 'right' track. It would have been far more reckless (and unlikely) that other bike would have passed you like that on the left side. So, which is the highest threat? That could be up for discussion in many cases. ...but in your case, it is not. ...the highest threat was on the right and you weren't there. You got lucky this time. No, the accident wouldn't have been your fault. ...but maybe you could do something to prevent it next time.

Sounds/looks like he snuck up on and surprised you. My opinion, that’s on you and it’s up to you to control how you react to it. Honestly, if someone surprises me like that it might piss me off as well but overall it didn’t look like a close call or dangerous. Personally I try to not pass in the same lane but, if want to make progress, I will. Also, if your not checking you rear view every few seconds, especially approaching a red light, you’ll be surprised a lot.
