Most of the places, roads are good only the patch of NH 206 was tiring to drive

Rise and set with the sun is a fundamental rule of driving when one is out on a long journey. Yes force majeure does throw a spanner in the works, however as far as possible stick to this rule. In the NE it is even more critical owing to mismatch between sunrise and IST.

Have a safe drive.. which homestay are you referring? In this video I stayed at Polo towers, Shillong but don't recommend that due to smaller room size

No doubt, Meghalaya is beautiful. And near to Shillong are great too. It definitely calls for a revisit But night drive in under construction patches of NH 206 was quite tiring !!
