Hotdogs in the UK are known as viennas. It is a long skinny sausage made of MDM - mechanically deboned meat - which is an extruded paste and flavoured as chicken, beef etc. It is usually boiled. Chilli refers only to the flavouring, for example the jalapenos would be considered chilli and not spicy meat. The meat you have on your baguette is called mince, it is finely diced steak and is very common in the UK. The meat sauce is known as gravy, typically it won't be very wet.

Yes, the hot dogs have a very different texture than here in the states. Was there in 2019 before COVID and couldn't get past the weird texture of them. Was hard to enjoy breakfast "bangers". Almost like it pureed to the point a baby could eat it.
