People just have no idea how hard this is. Play all the notes without screwing up royally. Keep time, play together. Sing together, remember all the words. Keep track of the overall structure of the song and not get lost.

I took really naturally to playing and singing at the same time, but keeping time without a drummer, (and finding a drummer that keeps correct time) has always been tough. Practice practice practice and the songs become second nature. I haven't gigged in years but when i was we could play through our setlist forward backward and shit faced. Repetition is king.
