I often thought how odd it was that Smasher mentions Rogue in the final fight, but I feel like the quest with her to get the secret ending might have been intended to be part of an earlier build of the game where you would have confronted Grayson together, which Smasher might have heard something about afterwards regardless of whether you killed him or not. But they never bothered to change Smasher's dialogue after they changed the direction of the game and made the quest with Rogue to meet Grayson part of Johnny's side quest line instead of main story or whatever. Just my little theory. At any rate, was great to watch the full unedited run of the secret ending using nothing but knives. Good show. 👏

@Cooky Cooker I know, but what I was saying was that in an earlier version of game during development the quest was part of the main game and not a side quest, and they never changed the dialogue after they made it a side quest, so he still comments on Rogue whether you did the quest with Grayson or not.

My personal theory: 1. Smasher spotted you, Jackie and the case for the chip. 2. Yorinobu was in on the klepping of the chip and knew it had Silverhand in it. It provided the perfect cover for murdering his father, figuring he could get the chip back later from your corpses, or worst case, Parker would be able to fence the goods and then he'd get it from them. 3. Smasher was ordered to keep tabs on you to see what you would do, how he knew about Oda being alive. To see where the chip went off to. Once they realized it was in your head and starting to take over, they figured it would be a nice chance to see what the tech does, then do a post mortem on your brain. 4. Rogue and Silverhand were always a duo, so Smasher was thinking Rogue would be around since he knew the chip was overriding V's brain, figured Johnny would have roped her into this as well since well, she was there last time he attacked Saka tower. I'm not a super big nerd of the lore in the game so might be some inaccuracies in there but that's kind of what I'm thinking is going on to explain smasher asking about Rogue.

@@professorkittyhawk I know, but the quest on the ship with Rogue and Grayson has to be done to do/unlock this secret ending (cuz you've to talk with Johnny at the oil fields which happens right after the quest with Rogue and Grayson). So anyway, if you do Don't Fear The Reaper, you had to do the quest with Rogue & Grayson before

It’s pretty good on PC. I just got the game this year and I’ve already put in a ridiculous amount of hours. It’s definitely not perfect by any stretch but most of the remaining glitches are really minor, basically the sort of things you’d see in Skyrim so no big deal really. There’s also more than a few lore discrepancies between this game and the original source books if you care about that.

I love the game and I played a lot of it on release and then a bit at v1.3 but not too much since. Thanks to your videos I am about to start new playthrough. Seeing how you still are having fun even though you finished it many times puts things in new perspective! The game is 1.6 already so I think it will be glorious

I always thought that since Smasher works for Arisaka, and Arisaka had the relic, that he knows about Johnny and us as well. Mentioning Rogue was just a jab at Johnny. Maybe even have Johnny take over to talk back to him and give Smasher an opening.

Hi! Not a super challenge run, but I would love to see a video relying on a melee net runner that relies on quick hacks to blind, disarm, and trap enemies. The rules would be absolutely no building body, everything in the game should be able to kill you easily. Cyberware like heal on kill and bio monitor are totally acceptable. All dmg must be made with melee weapons. (I suggest mantis blades with the non lethal mod for the jumps). I played through this build partially, it results in you walking into a building after you have hacked your targets, only for everyone inside to be blinded, once they can see, their weapons explode in their hands they can't move, can't communicate, and you simply slice and dice jumping from person to person. I'd love to see a video on that if possible.

I tried doing this with a crazy good Quickhack only build and it kicked my ass several times before I eventually got to Smasher who was easy as always.

Hey, I know you do a lot of challenge runs, but I was curious if you could do a full stealth melee only run. The goal is to maintain stealth while still killing everyone in every room. This is made more difficult by the limitations of melee/takedowns only

Doing the assault in progresses give a decent amount of XP. Also for the main grind I used a mod to 10x my XP gains 😬

It’s really easy honestly. Just start knocking out gigs and side quests. Remember, for eddies and exp the NCPD Scanner Hustle is your best friend.

Consider doing a human run? No cyberware, no perks for regen or any inhuman abilities. Only raw damage weapons and recoil control perks. No smart link or tech based weapons. No cyberdeck or Sandi etc

Kinda funny... played Cyberpunk, had a good time, put it down. Started watching your stuff, decided to play through the whole thing again. Now I'm on a third playthrough, trying Cyberdeck only, highest difficulty, minimum body and agility because Hackerman V is the coolest person Hackerman V knows, way too cool to exercise. Already finding certain gigs annoying, because some enemies cannot be hacked. Edit to add: finally trying with a male V. Already miss female V's voice. Don't know why, something about male V's cadence is irritating to me.

I'm currently replaying with new dlc for the first time with English female V and I gotta say that male V's voice in Russian dub (my language) is awesome. English dub is great but I just can't get used to it (but I should since there's no russian dub for phantom liberty)
