We realise in life that in order to make progress and change for the better, we allow the nature of things to unfold, for the weather shows us that nothing stays the same, so we must change with it. It's only in the doing that we learn new ways to do it. If we don't look at things in a different light, we don't get to see new colours.

I have watched many videos on stoicism and Taoism, your video by far does the best job of explaining the synergy between the two. Every line of your video is well thought out. I feel like you summarize two years of lessons I have learned form journaling, reading stoic books. Thank you 🙏

Everytime I got what I really wanted (so far when I was younger) I put in very little effort because I literally had nothing to use/work with nor any idea how to get it, yet got things I actually put out of my mind of ever getting.. until I was miraculousy in a position to claim it... Now days I tried to firce myself into doing (even normal) things and only felt overwhelming stress and fear when pushing myself... I honestly believe there has to be a similar way to go about taking actual control of life.. using this again

my experience is that most people hide behind an ego they built, the more insecure the bigger the ego of these people are, behind this wall is someone very different, we forgot how to live with compassion and understanding of each other, the more i let go of my ego the better i feel, but still ... all it is is a learning process we have to let go of this to find our true self and our meaning

I've always been curious about the word "let". Let go. Let it happen. Let it be. A simple three letter word with so much profound mystery. How does one "let"? I like using mindfulness to explore this, the book 30 Days to Reduce Anxiety by Harper Daniels has been a nice help for me, teaching mindfulness meditations to try to let go...try.
@habibahas13 Жыл бұрын
"Try to let go" ... there's that word LET again!!! And the word TRY is oppressive!!! Just do it!!!!!
@floydsmithjr7999 Жыл бұрын
I think, at least the closest description to “let” would be to “allow”. Allow what is to be what it is. Let it be. Allow what will be to become what it will. Let it become. Allow yourself to be who you are, for you can never be something you’re not. Just be.

"Make the best use of what is in your power, and take the rest as it happens." - Epictetus How can embracing advice to focus on what is within our power and accept what happens to enhance our ability to let things happen naturally, and what might be the benefits of adopting this approach in our daily lives?

Where is the limit between: let it go and don't care? I find it hard. To do things, but not thinking at results? Then why you do something? Which is the motivation? How you start doing something without thinking at why?
@ACGLENCLAR6 ай бұрын
I think some people are missing the point of the video. The guy is not saying to be lazy and not do anything. He is simply saying that if something is not working out dont push hard for it to happen because it might lead to misfortune. Personally I've applied for jobs before and I was upset I was not chosen and when I applied for the perfect job for me, within 15 minutes i got an interview. Life is about adopting. Too many times we force things only to lead to distruction. Maybe if koby bryant wasnt a basket ball player he still would be alive today and maybe live a full life into old age.

I wish I could trust the process, but when I did, it let me down.
@ry0323Ай бұрын
Trusting the process is the act of doing your best at the present moment while not expecting any specific outcome. You must embrace whatever happens and take action. The reward is knowing that you did your best everyday. And the universe will listen.
@daisyviluck7932Ай бұрын
@ then what exactly am I “trusting”? The same crap outcome regardless of my effort? I’m not snapping at you, you’re prolly a regular decent person. But I always understood “trust the process” to mean that the Universe usually works out in a manner that’s in everybody’s best interest if you give it enough time and patience. I’ve simply never found that to be true. Or else the timescales are so vast I don’t get to see it in my lifetime.

Seek the Lord while He can be found. Give up on your self ambitions and be saved through a relationship with the true living God. Jesus is the only way back to the Father, and there is no other name under Heaven by which man can be saved. Turn away from this mumbo jumbo ✝️
