Great video. Loved how you broke down so many games. I can recommend Devil's Third. I found it to be really fun. A nice mix of shooting and melee combat. Basically a 90s action movie in game form.

My recommendation of an Indie game is Affordable Space Adventures. It fully uses both the tv and gamepad in order to play which makes it a true Wii U game IMO. Nintendo also helped advertising it when it was launched.

I live in Japan and got a lot of these boxed physical for cheaper than the wiiu store but if its your only option i highly recommend picking up some stuff rather than regretvit later. For snes goemon 1 to 4(not sure if western shop got 2,3 and 4) cybernator, wild guns. For n64 excitebike the zeldas and 1080 snowboarding, mario kart, wave race. Also dont forget the free update packs for xenoblade chronicles x though they will eat a lot of disk space. Also how will you be able to re-download stuff ehen nintendo inevitably pull the plug on the server cutting off access?

I’ve been planning since they announced the closures, I’ll update ya when it’s all said and done but so far I’ve spent about $1000 on the eshop’s . DK64 is great, you can remap the controls and I tried to make it like BOTW controls, there are some insanely frustrating parts in the game, and parts where it’s very handy to have the save anytime option. Both a great and terrible game, so much fun but at times the exact opposite of fun

Dang, I don't see Project Zero or DK Tropical Freeze in the American eShop. One Wii game that I was wishing for to come to the Amaricas would be Another Code: R which is the sequel to a game we known as Trace Memory for the DS here in this side of the pond.

Why does everyone say ROMs are illegal? Atleast in the US they sit in a weird legal grey area. Like sure I get being safe but they aren't straight up illegal in a lot of places...

Downloading roms is Piracy. Piracy is heavily illegal. Use of emulation however is not. Please be careful if youre downloading anything off the internet.

@@Switchbored maybe I poorly worded this, the crime isn't punishable in most places in the US atleast, it would be a civil suit over lost profits which a lot of these games are owned by defunct companies. I mean obviously use caution. But since no money changes hand and it's impossible to prove financial harm, it's legally grey. I understand your view of it, but its not quite that simple. Also it's entirely legal to have roms, it would have to be for ulemulation to exist and there no good way to prove a rom was downloaded and nit ripped from a cart or disc I or a friend had making it again extreamely hard to legislate. So maybe it's illegal in a written sense but it's not really enforceable and thus sits in a legal grey area.

To clarify rom downloading is illegal the way speeding is. It's hard to enforce, hard to prove, and generally nit worth the hassle. Again I understand you view, but its functionally really hard to enforce doesn't cause tangible harm (or really any for retro game you can't buy from the manufacture anymore) and thus functionally legally grey.

There's always games on sale. Just check the eshop weekly to see if anything from your list pops up. I haven't seen any first party games like Mario or Zelda appear in the past year though.

Yes and No. If you have the eshop games downloaded on your wii u they are there forever as long as you keep them stored. Although nintendo are letting you continue to download purchased eshop games after the eshop closes for the foreseable future. My advice is to back your downloads up though however just incase your wii u hardrive corrupts and you loose save data. Physical copies are god tier though. But the argument is that physical media is often more expensive and physical media doesnt always last forever if not taken care of

Thanks for pointing this out, but I already knew this. Please also understand that acronyms can be spoken as full words also. For example S.C.U.B.A can be pronounced Scuba T.A.R.D.I.S can be pronounced Tardis There is no difference between S.N.E.S and saying SNES as a whole. For me speaking, it's just easier to say Snes or Nes instead of a mouthy acronym. Thanks for watching.

Thats not true, ive purchased alot of games from the Wii U and 3DS eshops. Even made videos about it. I plan to buy even more
