My baby boy and my daughter ( daughter being my son's girlfriend who I love as my very very own ) has gotten an air fryer. They love it. I am on the fence right now I am happy with my Foreman and Waffle/Sandwich maker. In fact, last couple times made meat, I experimented with the sandwich plates on the waffle/sandwich maker just to see it accurately lets me know when meat is done to save me from guessing. Still going to use Foreman for meats that is too big or too thick for waffle iron. I might at one point get an air fryer, just not yet. I'll think about it after my boyfriend and I get a new place.

For a couple who is wanting to save money, space and time, an air fryer is ABSOLUTELY a good idea. An air fryer is a micro convection oven so if you're cooking small batches, it can do it in half the time as a regular oven at a much lesser cost as it will be using electricity for a fraction of that time.

I noticed you stayed well away from the power consumption question. Air fryers typically use at least only a quarter of the power or your oven. Trials show over an 8 minute cook in an air fryer, the element is only on for about 90 seconds. Just cook a whole chicken in an air fryer and the flavors will astound you. A 4 and a half pound chicken cooks in mine in only 45 minutes. I have a whole playlist devoted to Air Fryer recipes on my channel and still growing. Please do proper research guys.

Why air fry a whole Chicken... when you can buy a Rotisserie cooker, which produces MUCH better results? I got mine used at a thrift shop, for like $12. Cooks a large chicken in a single hour. Tender, Juicy, chicken... with a Crispy and lightly charred exterior. I just pre-season the chicken, let the seasoning sit on it for an hour (or overnight), then pop it in the Rotisserie. Perfect Flavorful Chicken, every single time, without any fuss. Its hard to match meat that has been self-basting in its own caramelized juices, for an entire Hour. Air Dried chicken, isnt likely going to match that level of flavor, color, and texture. The only thing better, might be a Smoker. Of course, thats an out-door only situation, and takes a Lot more time.

toast ( i don't have a toaster), grilled cheese, French toast, mug cake, cinnamon rolls, cheese sticks, seasoned vegetables, pop corn, doughnuts, eggs, and i also use it to heat up leftovers because the heat is distributed evenly unlike the microwave that misses the cold food in the middle. You can see that most of the stuff i listed are basic breakfast/dinner dishes which can be consumed daily. In the morning i could make grilled cheese regularly using the stove or i can throw it in the air fryer and get ready while it's cooking. I mostly do it in the air fryer because it's a time saver.

I've been wanting an air fryer for 2 years but kept convincing myself that I don't need it. Last year I kept finding myself wanting to fry stuff but had no motivation to use and then clean the deep fryer. I finally got convinced after visiting my cousin's place for Christmas and they had the most perfect fried bites I've ever had, all made in the air fryer. I love baked and fried vegetables as a side but I hate frying, so an air fryer is perfect for me. We are also a house of 3 who don't eat much so size isn't an issue, in fact most were too big. If I remembered correctly on that day we had spring rolls (the ones with the crispy pastry on the outside, not the vietnamese ones) and mini sambusas. If you Google them you can guage that having 1 or 2 wouldn't exactly make you full but you'll no longer be hungry either. Since it's a bit rude in my culture to not serve anything to your guests it's good for those who're coming over for too long to only have tea but not long enough to eat a full meal, especially if they have kids.

My wife and I are seniors, live by ourselves and tend to eat smaller proportions, therefore our air fryer that we received as a Christmas gift is the "ticket" as far as We are concerned. I love baking and if making bread or a birfhday cake for one of the family, I use the convection oven. However, I have seen recipes for air fryer bread none of which I have tried yet, but believe me - I will. Air friers (or whatever name you want to tag one with) certainly have their place in the kitchen and I do nnot feel they deserve the "Do not buy" label because there are those that actually like them. I expect that if a pole was conducted, the yays would certainly out number the nays. So, if you feel that an air fryer is for you, by all means, buy one. Just finished baking my favorite tea biscuit recipe (double recipe) with no changes in ingredients to adapt to air frying. They turned out perfectly - medium browned tops and light well done inside. Yes, I had to bake them in two batches as the basket would not hold 12 biscuits. Oh Dear!

1. convection oven effect versus air fryer effect is worlds apart. I use philip xxl air fryer super crispy and definitely a lot better than a convection oven, maybe because the hot air is built stronger? i dont know why but its just a lot better and faster too! Dont be mistaken saying they are the same . you should try yourself. 2. Air fryer is smaller which is an advantage, less messy counter top and convenient for a small family. 3. it is more expensive because its better quality when getting the frying effect and for most people it is affordable.

My air fryer was cheap £45 from Cosco, fast Cooke's a frozen chocolate croissant to perfection in 11 mins from start-up, where my fan oven takes over 35 mins 20 to get to temp and 15 to cook. My air fryer can cook a single item or small portion very quickly and efficiently which saves over 75% of the electricity, by measurement taken using a new smart meter. It is very small and portable, so I can take it in my caravan. It does a better job than my oven for crispy crunch. I could go on, and on with a single sided argument. But that would be a biassed argument, which does not inform, just divides. Hope your next video looks at both sides.

Countless online reviews and video reviews all concur ; the large "slide out rack/shelf style" air fryer ovens are difficult to clean vs the basket/drawer styles. The wide open space of the larger ovens allows grease to splatter all over the inside including the inside roof, corners etc. The slide out basket style is more "contained," area & able to add parchment paper liners all making the basket style easier to clean. When an appliance is a beast to clean, I gradually stop using it, thus more waste money. When an oven is not kept squeaky clean, it accumulates a sticky grease and makes more smoke that effects the taste of the food. YUCK !

I'm in the market for an air fryer but won't buy the basket type because they're plastic and chemicals leach into the food. I'm getting one that's stainless steel. Won't get one that's non stick either for the same reason!
@Woof728 Жыл бұрын
@@rathernotsayrathernotsay9829 I bought an air fryer on Amazon that was stainless steel however the drip tray contained teflon. (I spent a lot of time researching air fryers that were BPA and teflon free!) I figured that I could just use aluminum foil on the bottom instead. It got very high ratings but before I could use it I received an email from the company offering $30.00 if I gave it a high rating. I sent it back and gave it a 1 star rating because of that. I purchased it partly because of that rating! I notified Amazon about it but after several months they haven't done anything. Believe it or not, I received 2 more emails from the company offering more money to give a favorable rating - as high as $50.00 toward a gift card. The lesson I learned if it's too good to true it probably is. Decided not to buy any air fryer!! I don't trust these companies and nothing is made to last nowadays!

Does anyone else find text to speach annoying? And I'm sure that us air fryer owners would love a big cenvection oven but since we don't own one that's why we get an air fryer. I find that reheating food in the air fryer is a much better result than microwaving your food all the time. The only gripe I have is that it's a pain trying to clean the caked on grease off the top heating element. And the so called helpful videos on cleaning the air fryer never tell you about the heating element area. If not cleaned well, you start getting this smoke while cooking. Also, I recommend another air fryer we have which is a glass enclosure with steel grate. You don't have to worry about Teflon coating with modern air fryers.

OMG, we totally get you! Text-to-speech can be so annoying, right? And we agree, reheating food in the air fryer is a game-changer. But seriously, why don't those cleaning videos tell us about the heating element area? It's like they're hiding the secret to a smoke-free cooking experience. Thanks for the recommendation on the glass enclosure air fryer, We are going to check it out ASAP!

Great advantage of airfryer is a removable basket. After preparing food you don't have to dive inside the oven to clean it - you just put removable basket into dishwasher. Usually it has lower power consumption as well - due size. Big minus - we have to replace it every 3-4 yeas we use airfryer frequently - almost every day. At this moment we have third actifry (great!) and we are going to buy bit bigger (5l) airfryer from one of cheap store - will be on promotion on European LIDL and ALDI (one bit more expensive but with WiFi, cant decide which one we go).

You can't take a regular oven out onto the balcony or terrace to cook food if you live in a hot climate. Outside it won't be overheating the house or fighting the air conditioning. I put a cake tin with paper liner and wire-grill in mine to reduce the size; and make cleaning easier. I have a second air fryer which spends the whole summer outside. The regular oven still gets used perhaps twice a month?, but there is no pretence with regard the oven being competitive with the air fryer which is used for most main meals. I'm in Perth Western Australia, about the same latitude (transposed to the northern hemisphere) as Marrakesh in Morocco, or Tijuana in Mexico. And in summer we don't get humid hot weather, we get very dry hot weather. Best wishes to all.

One thing that is never mentioned is that air fryers draw a lot of current, maybe 8A or more. (240v) So be careful and ensure you are not using other kitchen appliances from the same power socket or there is a danger of overloading and consequently a fire risk, particularly if the air fryer is left unattended. . For example, a kettle draws about 12A a toaster about 4A. In the UK the maximum allowed per socket is 13A, but even 11A can cause overheating if the current draw is prolonged.
