You can go from an employee to an executive if you know exactly how to think about your career growth. My job success mantra is all about using these 5 tips to the best of your ability to come up with the best possible results for yourself and your company. The first question you need to ask yourself is regarding what you are good at. You may say that you are good at a particular skill or domain but that is just domain expertise. You need to figure out in broader terms what you are good at. Your personality-based strengths are more important than your domain strengths. For domain-based strengths you should look at what are the things you have been doing by looking over your resume. Lastly, if you can’t find a pattern, then you need to look for underlying skills.
The next question for career growth or salary growth is that you need to ask yourself how you can get better in the field of your interest. This is where upskilling comes in. You need to ask yourself if an upskilling course will help you achieve a particular goal or not. You need to focus on what are the things you can do to achieve an upskilling goal in a good amount of time. You need to find your purpose in order to ensure that you can grow in your career in a sustained manner.
After you know your purpose, just make sure to wake up every day with that purpose and go to sleep with gratitude. Everyone has a unique journey so a cookie cutter solution for how to become successful or how to become successful in job is not available, However, with the right career guidance and goal setting, we all can achieve our career development goals sooner rather than later.
