I think it's important to note that your experience with composite Veneers is very specific to the place you went to! I got composite veneers 4 years ago and it was the best decision! They kept my unique teeth design just added to them. They've lasted great so far and feel amazing. As a registered dental hygienist of over 15 years...he is right. There's nothing better than your original teeth, esp health wise. Over time the composite veneers look horrible and stain easily. Also, a lot of them do decay underneath. The porcelain veneers however, do last the test of time if done properly. It is the better option of the 2 if you choose to get veneers. Ijs 🤷🏾‍♀️

I don't bite directly into hard things like nuts or apples but, you can just pop an almond for example into your mouth, you don't have to use for front teeth to eat them. Things like apples, I will cut into slice and eat. Veneers are only on the front teeth so you can still eat anything you want because chewing isn't an issue. Hope that helps. Aligning teeth can be done cheaply. Get a digital scan from a dentist then contact a lab in China. Send them the scan and they will make invisalign equivalents for a tiny fraction of the cost. Same material, same software at a fraction of the cost. I'm going to try later this year, buy one brace (e.g. first of 18 braces for 18 months) and see how it goes.

I agree with you that the best smile is your teeth. But I also want to add that the final result depends on the skills, the teeth have different zones of opacity and translucency, different color effects, macro and micro texture, the teeth have several shapes and features. All this we study for years and hone our skills. If all these points are done properly, then you can get veneers that will be difficult to distinguish from a natural tooth. And if your not satisfied then they can be adjusted up to four times…which mine have been adjusted 3 times to make them smaller as I wasn’t happy with the individual tooth which was too long and too wide for my small mouth.
