Don't Get Your Kid An ATV!

I have been on too many of these accident calls and these are just not safe for kids!

Did the same thing on a snowmobile back in the 70s. Thankfully it didn’t run over me when I hit the snow. It landed several feet forward of me. I hope you’re ok Lamar. 😰

I am fine and that is a video clip someone sent me of their kid. They survived but are going to be a long time recovering.

Ya, my brother's friend, got a $20,000 helicopter ride to Hershey Medical Center, because he was horsing around on one...without a helmet! They're dangerous. Thank God, the guy is ok!👍🙏😊

We have had 4 young people killed or seriously injured in my town on ATVs this year. They are just too dangerous for kids!

@solarcabin wow! That's terrible! I stress to everyone, if you're gonna ride, wear a helmet. I was in a horrible motorcycle wreck, years ago and a helmet saved my life. I got really broken up, but at least I lived. That's so sad for those young ones.😔🙏

Respect the machine! I grew up off-road and my daughter grew up off-road. I took her out and supervised her while she learnt. Couple of minor wipeouts, scare the heck outa yourself and you understand and learn. We've become too soft as a society and kids aren't outside jumping their bmx bike of a piece of 2x6 or plywood and a brick anymore so nobody has learned healthy fear and then they get behind the handle bars and have no idea.
