Filipe A. It actually sense tbh. I used to hate apple, now I just bought an iP 11 and the things I can do in garage band are out of this world. And it’s such a simple app. Adobe LR is MUCH more usable on The iPhone and I really did not expect that (and I’m not even trying to be a fanboy. I used to use my androids to the absolute max but this is just SO simple and convenient and less stuff to worry about. And creative apps are nicer to use). I’m not going to change my Dell XPS 9560 for a mac (and the XPS is not a gaming laptop either but it runs Witcher 3 just fine) but I imagine myself buying a used MacBook just to have another laptop lying around for creative work if needed.

They had quite accessable, upgradeable computers back in the late 90s. Google the "powermac G3 case". They were using the Motorola/IBM PowerPC chip, but by then everything else was pretty much industry standard.

Great video. If you really want to investigate how many different types of screws a manufacturer can put into a product, go work on any mid-1980's GM product. Have fun :P Also, in terms of commodities: the extra dollar spent on a different color of PCB equates to a huge reduction in profit per production run. As my dad told me (he was a machinist) by using the same part on a dozen different products, even a small company can make an extra million dollars per year.

I once took in a one and a half year old Mac Mini, told me the logic board was failing and the cost to replace would be almost the same as buying a new one, then tried to sell me a new one. It starts at $6 grand to keep it sufficiently above the iMac Pro in price, and that thing is as expensive as it is to keep it above other iMacs and the mini, and even the new mini is more expensive than it should be, presumably likewise to avoid cannibalizing too many iMac sales.
