Seasonic are just the ballsiest sponsor ever. The fact that they were like "oh you're pushing power supplies to their breaking point? Here's the equipment we use. Try us." and then sponsored the LTT video on the Labs power supply tester just shows how much confidence they have in their products.
@Joseph-C2 жыл бұрын
If you make a superior product then testing and comparing it against others is just great marketing. Same reason why the LTT screwdriver was compared to competitors for example. Seasonic just makes the best power supplies, but doesn't have any way to demonstrate it to the general public who aren't electrical engineers. Seasonic is very smart to give LTT the means to demonstrate their power supplies to their massive audience.

Martina Please, you are a truly talented artist so DONT STOP DOING WHAT you're DOING! Thank you for this.
@formes23882 жыл бұрын
If you want something like this - I would strongly recommend starting with something smaller (medieval house comes to mind). It's actually fairly straight forward, but it does take some getting past the "this looks like crap and will never turn out" phase as until you get the final washes / dry brushing / protective clear coat - it won't look "right". You can do stuff like a wizards tower, or create the effect of it being a cliff face, or whatever else you can imagine - it's just foam, cardboard, some plaster / clay / whatever, and of course: Paint. Just to note: I've only more recently properly got into terrain / buildings - and have a 6 foot tall tower in the process of being plastered, while I learn some 3D modeling to get some supports, and other nick nacks designed so I can print them and attach them. Yes it's a lot of work - but damn do the results of "I did this" make it worth the effort. In short: Be inspired - and get out and make yourself one damn awesome computer case mod.

I used to bend custom exhaust systems for trucks. we would measure the straights with a tape measure then use an angle gauge to measure the bend angles. I think where this is a lot smaller you could make a guide from stiff wire and use it to compare your bends in the tubing, similar to what we do to copy brake lines, you could actually use brake tubing for the guides.

Important FYI: Most of the leak testers you can find on the market use generic pressure gauges which don't have markers to indicate which pressures are correct for a traditional PC water cooling system. In the video he pushes a tube out of the gasket from the pressure he uses to pump up his system. However, even when he used "less pressure" it was still too much pressure even though the guage shows it in the "green" region. This is a really bad design flaw and can result in displacing the seals in your system from excessive pressure. Consult the maual but I wouldn't suggest going over 0.5 bar for a leak test. 0.3-0.4 is more than enough. Any more and you're more likely to crack plexi or damage gaskets.
