My life was busy and the watercolors were put away; 22 years later, living at a much slower pace and watching your videos I was inspired to try my hand at it again. I love incorporating the art with the study of God's Word. I am rusty and not very good, but the time I spend doing this draws me closer towards God. I love watching your videos and hearing what lesson we can learn from the Scriptures. Thank you, it really helped to hear you say that the 'not very good paintings' are acceptable.

No one is too busy for their talents. When I bought my first phone, I spent less time with my guitar and I stopped writing songs and recording. Instead, I was listening to music on my phone. In fact, I wasn't too busy to compose music, I replaced it with listening to music and watching movies. That's my mistake. We can spend time with other people and their work, but we must never lose 'ourselves' in the process.

Started a few postcard size water colour and scripture pieces, perhaps in 2025 I will feel brave enough to start a journal. It’s so relaxing. Found this video very encouraging and lovely to see the children looking through your journals. God bless you and your family, have a wonderful Christmas.

I raised three girls too. Now they all have daughters of their own. I watched your channel last night for the first time, and considered trying to make similar content but then thought that would not be good to copy someone else's style..then I get this video in my feed tonight. I've always loved art and even sold some paintings..Maybe it's time to renew my epidemic sound subscription and just try this. Also, a trick I learned to do many years ago when money was very tight..just purchase the basic color paints and learn to mix them together to create varying shades instead of buying all the available colors right away, at least until you get more confident with your painting. 🥀🌻🙏🖌

I enjoy all your videos, but I this one I really needed today! I have always loved "trying" to draw and paint as a child, and when my daughter was little. Diving into watercolor and the bible has kept me from being so sad while both kids were in college. My youngest will graduate college next year and I pray she will continue to paint as life gets busy. This was so inspiring as are all your videos. Thank you for sharing.

After coming across your channel a couple weeks ago, I found my old watercolor paints and started a Psalm journal. I love watching your videos and appreciate the Mathew Henry commentary. I love writing out the psalms and I'm saying it aloud as I'm writing it. Also, I love to read the psalms from my watercolor journal when in bed. I got the small sized journal and it's very light weight, so it's easy to hold and read. 😊

Art was always in my heart, but as you said life gets crazy and it gets pushed aside. Plus I let perfectionism and comparing myself to others get in the way. Eventually I back slid and fell away from God too. Over the last few years I wanted to create again, but every time I tried, my mind would go blank. It wasn't until the last few months when God came knocking, and we returned to our faith. Then all of a sudden, I could draw and paint and even color in coloring books again. Which tells me my talents came from Him. I never really thought of taking that scripture literal. I only thought of it as talking about money. However, you are correct God does give us different talents that we can use to glorify Him. I have recently been using Esword, so I can also have scripture read to me while I do art work. I am also going to start doing art and righting out scripture as well. It would give me an excuse to use my dip pen and inks lol. Thank you for this.

I am a recently new sub and am excited to try watercoloring along side my scripture journaling. I purchased the nib set, nib holder and the black/gold ink. I realized that i truly know nothing of how to use them! Will you be showing us how to use them?

People hate those with talent. At least some do. I've always loved peoples talent. But i've found there is so much jealousy and rage at those who work hard and become proficient at their chosenartistic disciplines.

Hello, I was wondering, if I can share with you the most important thing. God the Father sent His holy Son Jesus to earth, to be born of a virgin. He grew up and died on the cross for our sins. Then He was put into a tomb for 3 days, after that Abba Father raised Jesus to life.He appeared to people, and went back to heaven. We all must sincerely receive Jesus into our life to be God's child. See John 1:12 for this please. Will you today genuinely by faith receive Jesus into your life for salvation?
