Do you offer IG ads course? I can’t find it anywhere. I own a small business and most marketing agency charge so much money. Thank you in advance.

I know what you mean. I myself run an agency and I agree many in the field are greedy or solely focused on maximizing financial leverage with clients. For myself I care more about client growth so i have a calculation to charge a reasonable retainer for them and I offer a lot as far as the paid traffic and creative space goes. On the flip side I have a ROAS fee but I don't touch that unless my agency 2x's prior months revenue of our clients and all after 2x we then apply a percentage to. Im focused on CBO and ABO Im not trying to make my clients spend more than necessary anyone who does that isn't realistically an understanding agency owner they just use clients for cash flow whilst offering barely operational services providing little to no ROAS.

I get what you're saying but this is for a basic agency. You hire an agency to create various ad sets, targeting, copywriting, ad creatives, split test landing pages, report, adjust, and scale. You can have anywhere from 10-100 ad sets and targeting variations starting at $5 and scaling to tens of thousands. Plus you always need to test ad creatives and double down on what's working.

Thanks for sharing. I find your whole channel full of information. I recently hired a social media marketing agency. They were charging me $135 a month. First they say package included a website and running a Facebook page ad. (They referred to their own website) They were supposed to advertise my Facebook page, but they ended advertising their very own instead as they said they had a better outstanding account with Facebook. I was paying $5.00 a day for leads which it was converted to one lead for day. Some of the leads were not even real phone numbers. My loss?? $200 in less than a month. So yeah I’m learning and will do it myself for much less a month.

You are grouping with the wrong agencies if they don't touch the accounts after the initial implementation. Daily/weekly optimizations are a must. Your video makes sense for small ad spend, but clients who spend 50k+ or more will need agency help unless they have an entire in house marketing team that has the capability to manage ppc

If your agency isn't clearly showing you what the least effective 10% of the ad spend was over the last month (or some other arbitrary percentage/period of time), then I fully agree. That said, if when doing it yourself, you also don't know what the least effective chunk of your ad spend has been (or where you could spend more within your profit/new customer goals), you also have a problem. Been a subscriber of yours for a while Travis -- have really been inspired by you Shark Tank pitch and you girlfriend's wine cards -- someday I'll do this on my own too. (I do work for an ecommerce-specific ad agency, but I am really proud of the work we do. I do audit agency-run accounts all the time and see egregious mistakes and gross negligence quite often.)

@@TravisMarziani thanks for the reply! I agree 100%. Spending 4 hours watching a training like yours will give a decision-maker enough of a framework to determine what they feel comfortable doing themselves and what they need to delegate to allow for them to tackle other projects to grow their business. You need to know what your paying for whether that's what search terms, products or hourly virtual assistant/agency you're cutting a check to -- your time and money need to be measured so you can optimize going forward. Keep up the inspiring content!!

Full Disclosure: this video is music to my ears, thank you calling this out. We do work with a "marketing guru" that chews up 10-15% of our revenue plus the cost of the FB ad spend. We make the content and "they" play with the CBO/retargeting fine tuning. If severing ties is the smart thing to do, all well knowing we will slow way down, if we contractually end terms and remove them from our facebook ads account, wont we lose all of the ads he created? Does that stay with us or can he delete all of that valuable info? All the best and thanks again for making the time for us!

I agree to sense...cause i know its kinda overkill to charge $3000 for Google or fb ads...but it's good to have an agency that handles that...i agree that you should aleast have an understanding on things so you know if they are delivering the result you know...but yeah me personally as and agency owner only charge 750 usd for Google ads and 2% return ROI but i make sure im always in contact with the client cause on thing i realized is that most agencies just do the marketing but never keeps the business owner in the loop you kmow.

As a freelancer myself, I agree that paying a big amount of money on a monthly retainer isn't worth it for most small businesses. What I offer: I make an analysis of the average CPC for the target keywords of the company and from there we can already see what it will take to be profitable. If the company decides to advertise with Google Ads, I charge by the hour for the set-up and the maintenance of the campaign.

I dont fully agree with teaching yourself. No business owner should be doing this himself, waste of very useful time, at least if youre business is succesful. Retargeting, Facebook Pixels, automation, landing pages, content, photos. All of this cant be taught within a day. And saying 'dont waste your money on an agency', do you mean dont waste it on an agency in general or dont waste money in general. Like dont waste money on any product out there?

Has anyone had experience with hiring an upworks or fivver person to properly setup FB ad accounts for them? Is this far reaching? I have an ad agency quoting me 1k/mo to set up & manage my ads.... Thats 12k/yr not including the 1k in ad spend he is requiring I spend in order to be "effective". I tried to set these ads up my self & it just didnt work out for me. I did something wrong & now my account is banned lol. Suggestions?

I started a video game company and want to place ads. Is Instagram or FaceBook the way to get a better impression to customer conversation rate? What's the best for my money I wonder or is there a better place to do ads for net profit?
@stephenbloom67225 жыл бұрын
Have you done any market research yet? I would say to use whatever free resources you have to find out if gamers spend more time on Facebook or IG (Facebook owns both of them now and you can run the ads on either or both at the same time and it'll breakdown what kinds of reach, concentration by area over time-frame, reach over time by platform (FB or IG) and the type of post reactions and click through by impression ratios, etc.) You might want to consider doing a modest budget on both (say $10) and compare the data afterward to see what is generating more ROI for each, and then scale it up. I would avoid advertising in countries that are known to have a high click through with little financial ROI.

I feel like we’re at the mercy of what these “adwords account managers” tell us. They all say different shit every time I ask questions. It’s like they keep you confused on purpose because they know that once you know how to do it, you don’t need them. I pay my adwords manager 660AUD bucks a month and he ignores my texts. Absolute joke. I’m brushing him very soon.
