That blob is supposed to represent a new family member having their own ideals, dreams etc and the family shooting it all down and trying to get it to conform until they’re enmeshed. I also heard that the “new duck” killed the old duck in this episode. There are people on YT that have theories on this episode. It’s pretty interesting.

That's probably something for the later episode. Personally I read it as this new person that came to this group that hasn't really coped with their loss. Being sensitive to things the new guy couldn't have known, and being projected with memories of the person who is gone.

Acctually, the Old Duck killed the New Duck because if you remember at the beggining of the episode we see that Old Duck couldn't bleed and later he got his insides removed. So, I think that closes the case
