This is probably the scariest episode because of how true it is. Even down to the employees celebrating because something bad finally happened just because it’s different from their day to day grind. At my work people were so excited and giddy because two homeless people fought in our parking lot.

I think it also has to do with the in universe plot this time, in the old youtube show it was like they were actors knowing they are doing a kids tv show so some of them (specially red guy) were kinda awkward saying the lines and were kinda forced on purpose, but this time it feels like they are normal people doing their daily things with a weird force making all the teachers and weird stuff happen, kinda like the amazing world of gumball with the void. Also the characters personalities were a little bit changed

I love the subtle bits, like how in this universe, "restaurant style" things equate to high class, like a super treat, and that status is slapped on shit in order to make it more appealing/seem less cheap (like vending machine lasagna or food places that advertise via brochures).

Kinda speaks to how it's so easy to be 'groomed' into management, and the business world explicitly lures you into the hierachrical boss mindset. Like we see red guy. Many workplaces are half BS admin jobs, but everyone is still vying and kissing ass to get there, trying to get the shiny tie lol
@WillowJordan1979
@WillowJordan1979 Жыл бұрын
I personally see it as a butt-kissing employee who wants to advance in the work place by flattering the boss and groveling in front of him. Since it's a fax machine, there's no way for it to become the boss, but it still gets some kind of self-worth from serving the guy on top. Like Smithers to Mr. Burns. Although there was something sexual there was well, so maybe you're onto something...

@kgpspyguy
@kgpspyguy Жыл бұрын
If you think about it, he WAS the only person to take initiative, and therefore, out of everyone in that particular group of people. He WAS the most qualified. The phone was ringing, he pointed out that the phone needed to be answered, nobody else took action, and so he did. I don’t know if that was actually intentional, but it often turns out to be the case. Successful people are very often just the people who decided to start providing the service that nobody else wanted to.

The first Series we can see Duck is the smartest one in the group , the episode about time where he explains the concept of time he was stopped and mocked by the clock teacher. Now this episode hits even harder in how they want you to stop thinking out of the box The scene where the Doghound center tells you" think you are inside the cube , and the cube is actually you" really tells you that some force is stopping duck from thinking outside of the box.

Came here again cuz I just got a job in a Factory and is exactly the same 💀💀 the first day on the factory y remembered this episode, the employes, the jokes about the job, the lunch time (even they asked for the ticket LOL), etc. This is scarier than I thought.

I don’t know. They were clearly working there at the same time. Maybe she just aged better then him (being a wrench). The timeline’s a bit wonky either way. His daughter doesn’t look much older then 10. He’s been working there 40 years. So he and his wrench wench didn’t have a child until they’d been married for approximately 30 years. Hmmmmm.

@@TheSurrealist. i feel like it leans more towards the way certain companies develop a phony, pseudo caring environment (the classic corporate attitude). Not all companies or businesses are like that, even when they indeed benefit from capitalism they don't antagonize the members of each class

@@TheSurrealist. you see, in my opinion a matter of capitalism would be the higher classes (ie the corpos) openly antagonizing the lower classes (workers). But in this case, we see matters that are more in line with the culture in a place of work (the phony co-workers pretending to love their job, the silly job jokes that everyone repeats over and over, unhelpful stress relief therapy, gross vending machine food, the need to justify your time spent on the day by doing literally anything in your job no matter how utterly meaningless or simple it actually is -turning bits into parts and then back into bits, talking on the phone, etc ) It doesn't go into detail about the problem structure of a production system, it's more like a critique of the environment within a workplace

Mixed rice, hard-boiled eggs, a Korean peanut bread, corn, raw potatoes. Now that I think about it, I should have just said the lunch gave me Squid Game vibes.

I feel like the moment you stand up for yourself that’s when things get better because you do need to be busy but with purpose if you feel like this job is worthless then try changing the job if you can’t then leave because you just became the most valuable person in the business that they can never replace the boss don’t control nothing the value of a person control all
