I think it’s worth noting that at the end of Episode 6, the notepad’s eyes are a lot less condensed into the paper with crossed eyes, clearly showing this notepad is a lot more fun and wacky than the one before it, showing the uncanny teachers are also free and are able to give out the proper lessons without Roy skewing them.

Something that disturbed me was their answers to the questions. Like when they were asked where they lived, both yellow guy and duck said their house, like in the episode about computers. Red guy says, "I just don't know anymore." Or when they are asked their favorite colors, yellow guy responds with,"No!" Because he was told green was not a creative color

@@ateezfan190 Actually, he got canned, also known as getting fired. I think him being eaten is Roy eating away his sanity as an actor as a whole. I will also share my opinions on the episodes. 6th: 4th episode. The only episode with no redeeming quality in it. The computer is kinda annoying, about 15 seconds was just glitches in between the real world and the other one. Sorry if you like it, but it just sucked IMO. 5th: 3rd episode It was close between 4 and 3 for the bottom, but I chose this one for 5th because of the singing. The singer (The butterfly thing) is very impressive, and the transition into the creepy stuff is fantastic. My issue is red guy and duck. They both decided to just do nothing that episode. It was decent, but needed a little bit more for it to be higher on my list. 4th: 6th episode This one is very creative and has what I think is all of the lessons that we never saw. I have theories on all of the red guys, but I will say that most of is really good. The issue is the lamp. Annoying, loud, and was just overall not as good as the next 3. The next 3 are really close together on my list. Bronze: 1st episode The first episode was very creative (No pun intended) and had a lot of cool features in is and was a strong episode. The book is an absolute staple. Duck playing dumb for the show is pretty funny. The animation is good. And the song is catchy, which elevated this level so much. I wish it was just a little bit longer, but that is nitpicking. (NOTE: THESE NEXT 2 WERE SO HARD TO CHOOSE BETWEEN. THEY ARE LESS THAN A HAIR APART.) Silver: 2nd episode The song is creative and has a good meaning (Have fun in life while you can, before you look and feel like yellow guy) and is catchy. The puppets when they get old is just great and shows their talent in making horrifying things out of normal stuff. The clock does have some parts with weird sounding vocals, but this episode is just amazing. GOLD: 5th episode The meat dude is probably the best side character in the show, the bread at the beginning was funny, the distress when red guy left was good. The phone was a very good concept that worked, because the ringing makes the people stop singing, causing a thought of "What's going to go wrong?" The gore with duck is fantastic and I think yellow guy eating the cans of duck probably means that he was acting like he was very sad about it and just hogging the attention. The phone call is probably red guy and duck both saying that he needs to leave before it is too late, but since he ate up all of the attention, is was too much of a glutton to say yes. He took what he needed from then, so he left them. Great episode and totally deserves gold. *AWARDS* Best singer: Butterfly from episode 4 Best design: Meat Slab from episode 5 Most creative: Notebook from episode 1

Well, green is not only meant to be a creative color, but also a symbol for the part of the brain which is responsible for critical thinking and questioning. In reality, only Yellow Guy and his father exist. The red guy and the bird are only made up. Furthermore is the red guy a symbol for Yellow Guys brain. The bird is a symbol for his childish nature and behaviors, the part of Yellow Guy "mocking around", doing what he wants and exploring the world. In the episode about time, there is this scene when they all ask questions about time and how real it is, because it may only be a construct created in people's minds. In this scene, the duck is asking whether time may infact be such a construct pointing towards a picture of a cartographed human brain. Not only that but the part he is putting the pointer is an area of the brain which is colored green, an area meant to be responsible for creative thinking. It also stands for "thinking outside the box". But his father Roy doesn't allow him to do that so he isolated him and always watches and films for the show. Since red guy symbolizes his mind and control over the mental processes, when he leaves it actually means one thing. Yellow Guy has lost his mind. All this loneliness and social deprivation and the abuse and control of his father made him lose track of reality. He went insane and hallucinates dead objects talking etc..

I just made a connection and you all have to listen to it. In the Love episode, yellow guy misidentifies a butterfly, calling it a baby pigeon. In the dhmis interview, yellow guy says that he doesn't remember what love is, but he thinks it's a baby pidgon. All well and good, a funny reference, but I actually thought of the bird that flies into the road in the roadtrip episode, the one misidentified as a rat. And that came off as really sad actually. What is love? I don't know, but I think it's the thing that caused the accident. Do with that what you will. I think it could have something to do with yellow guy's relationship with whatshername, the one theorised to be his mother. Another thing! That I found in the interview. "What do you dream of?" yellow: "I dream that my middle is haunted." Clearly referencing his batteries!

I don't think Yellow Guy actually ate Duck Guy. I think Roy just used the virtual reality set of Punish Land to make him dream that he had. And to punish Duck Guy for suddenly quitting the show in the middle of the episode, he temporarily put Duck Guy in Punish Land as well, giving him the nightmare that he was being eaten by the can -- the symbolism of "getting canned".

My first thoughts after seeing the show was that it was a metaphor for an abusive household, and Red Guy (having graduated) moved out and into the adult world, then had trouble letting go of the past. He tried to reach his younger brothers still stuck in the house (Duck and Yellow Guy) but Roy didn't want that. This theory is much more lighthearted and makes the ending very satisfying.

The creativity episode was the best in my opinion because of multiple things: -It was the first episode, so no one expected the dark twist at the end -The song is catchy -The voices are great -It was just wacky in general Those are a lot of my reasons why the creativity episode is my favorite episode in DHMIS!

Red Guy is just saying the hair color is boring, because he probably wanted to go with a different idea of his own but has no choice other than to let Roy control the show his own way. His monotone throughout the whole thing is due to him being glum that his show isn't going the way he wanted.
